A lot of teenagers, especially girls are anxious about giving their room a makeover. Well, it’s natural. Young girls are very dynamic, creative and imaginative. They love changes and hate boring stuff. But I know there are times that even when you are too eager to give your room a fresh new look, ideas just don’t come too easily. According to experts, starting to redesign your room isn’t as difficult as you think. The best way to do it is to begin with colors. Ask yourself, which color combination do I like best for my room?

Try to recall your art lessons in school, specifically your lessons about the color wheel. Remember complementary, monochromatic, analogous and triad color relationships? Colors with these relationships have visual balance and harmony and thus, they’re pleasing to the eyes. If you find it hard to decide, choose any of the complementary colors, that is, those that are opposites on the color wheel. Complementary colors bring out the best in each other. They create an exciting visual contrast that is sure to enliven your room. You can start choosing from these complementary color combinations: red and green, blue and orange, yellow and purple. If you don’t like them, check the color wheel and discover other exciting color combinations!
