We've already established that the casting for Star Academy 9 is on and things are picking up speed!

The show is going to be broadcast in cbc, but will be shot in Lebanon at the Platea complex at Sahel Alma in Jounieh.

The first prime? It seems things are planned so that the first prime kicks off just after Ramadan ... will they be able to stick to that dead line?

]]> The host of the show, or presenter, will be non other than the ever so beautiful Hilda Khalifeh ... who's been doing this job successfully for the past 8 seasons!

As for the head of the Academy, well it won't be Rula Saad, that's for sure!
But there will be a familiar face on top of things and according to reports, it will be someone we've already seen on Star Academy before! I wonder who that will be!?

Star Academy Arabia Starts Casting!

Star Academy is coming soon .. be assured! The Program has gotten a slight name change; Star Academy Arabia. It will be directed by Tony Qahwaji, but the channel it will be broadcast on is still undisclosed.

Casting has begun for the show and the first stop is Amman, Jordan.
The dates are April 19, 20 and 21 at the Millennium Hotel.

As for the second stop, it will be Beirut, Lebanon at the Monroe Hotel on April 26, 27 and 28.

]]> Keep in mind that you have to be there between 10 am and 6 pm and have a colored photo of yourself and a colored copy of your passport.

Star Academy Back After 2 Years Absence

Yes, that�s true and not just a rumor! The Arabic version of Star Academy is coming back!

This time, the mother company of the show, Endemol Middle East, will be producing the show in Lebanon. However the decision of keeping Hilda Khalifa and Rola Saad hasn't been made yet, the company is asking fans about what changes they would want to see in the program and will plan the show accordingly.

]]> Star Academy 9 will have only 16 contestants, if you are interested to join the show, all you have to do is to send a short video of yourself with a maximum time of 2 minutes along with your personal information, name, age, hobbies, etc. to the following email address: starac9@endemolme.com

Mohammad Al Qaq Retires!

What a title! The funny thing is, he hasn't really started a career to call his decision a retirement!

In all cases, Star Academy graduate, Jordanian Mohammad Al Qaq, has decided to stop pursuing a career in singing and is going to retire!

]]> This comes only weeks after many singers decided to retire.
But Al Qaq's reason for stopping singing is just like Fadel Shaker's; he wants to do all he can to be closer to God, and because he believes singing to be "forbidden", he decided to retreat and halt his dream of becoming a famous star.

Star Academy 9 Latest Rumors

There's nothing official about the 9th season of the popular TV show Star Academy ... and there's no other way of putting it! Everything being said on the internet about the show are nothing but rumors! as long as the LBC and Rula Saad haven't come out and released an official statement regarding the show, then everything is just a load of hot air!

But, never the less, I will be sharing the latest rumors circulating the net with you.

So, rumor has it that the show (if there's a show coming) will start either two days from now on September 7th -which is a tad bit far fetched- or in the beginning of the New Year 2013!

]]> Some have reports that the concept of the show is going to change and that the upcoming season will solely contain Primes but no actual 24/24 reality TV! They reports claim that the students will spend the duration of the show in Beirut, in a hotel, where they can enjoy the luxuries of a swimming pool and gym and so on!

As for the strongest rumor of them all, concerns Hilda Khalifeh!
It is said that she's actually left LBC and will no longer be working with them on the show.
Instead she's been taken by another network; MBC ... and will be presenting a fashion show under the name "Mena's Next Top Designer" !

You must be as sick as I am from all the rumors and speculation about the kick off of the ninth season of LBC Star Academy! But it seems we're ready to take in any crumbs we find relating to the show!

]]> So, the latest (and seemingly strongest) rumor about the show is that it has NOT been cancelled but delayed until after Ramadan, specifically for October!

I got this piece of news from the official Vanilla Production Facebook page! So, if this turns out to be nothing but hot air, it's their fault!

The much awaited 9th season of Star Academy doesn't seem to be near!
There were strong rumors that the first prime was to kick off on Friday April 6th ... but it turned out to be nothing but hot air!

Now, there's more speculation ... and you gotta admit that those speculations are what keeps us going until the actual beginning of the season!
Presumably, there's a new candidate in the show; Moroccan Murad Okh!

Many of you have been waiting for the final word about the first prime of Star Academy 9 and it's official this time, Star Academy 9 will begin on Friday, April 6th.

The first prime will surely be a strong kickoff of the 9th season.
During we will get to know the new stars of the season, boys and girls from around the Arab world with an array of talents.

* Update: Star Academy Season 9 has been postponed to undetermined date after it was announced on Star Academy Official Facebook page that it was going to start earlier this month. No reasons were given for this decisions.

Christina Attallah is a singer that according to many forums and sites on the internet will be one of the students of Star Academy season 9.
Christina is a Canadian citizen with Palestinian roots. She is 19 years old.
She recently signed a contract with a MBC Platinum Record to produce her first album!
She is also among the new cast of the famous TV show Glee!

]]> One of the famous incidents that are related to her and created lots of buzz on the net is her attack on Mohammad Al Qaq in which Christina described Al Qaq as a person that doesn't know how to talk and that his voice is ordinary!

Guess we will have to wait and see if she is going to be at Starac 9!

Many of you are waiting for the beginning of the new season of Star Academy.
No official date until this day has been announced for the first prime of LBC Star Academy 9; however rumor has it that this season has been delayed until May 2012. According to rumors circulating on the net, this decision came after an agreement between LBC and MBC network to air the show after Arab Idol has ended!

What do you think? Is it too late to air the show in May, especially with most exams for many students across the Arab World take place during this period?!
