Sigh, honestly, in last weeks prime Bassma did the best, and should have taken the top 1 for the third time.

Bash was horrible in Julio's song(given he deserves credit for learning it last minute, just not top 1 credit.) Zaher did better with Julio. Honestly Bash isn't meant to sing english at all, he is much better in arabic. He just doesn't sound natural in english. English is my first language, so I know when a dude is messing up. So Bash really doesn't deserve top 1.

I'm dissapointed that Zaher was not in the top 5, also Tania shouldn't have been in there.

yes i agree with you, Susan was great, she suprised everyone............ but as you know staracademy is more complete than just a simple singing show.......this is a reality show, that opens it`s door for tv business in the arab world and that doesn`t mean just music, else entertaintment and so on.......and this is else a battle btw different arab nations.....

each of us has favorites, students which we like coz of different reasons coz we found some attributes in their character, personality, in their voice, that we love and that faszinate us, but i think it doesn`t give us the reason to hate the others......you should support those who you like and we support that person who we like.......and this is Mohamed Bash........

First off there is a difference between arabic music style and western music style. Second of all, if you understand english fluently, then you can tell exactly when someone is not pronouncing words correctly. Bash was not pronounceing a lot of words correctly. Also, I have a good understanding of english music. His song with Julio last week was very bad, I promise you that.

Hi. I truly enjoy reading your comments and usually agree with most of what you say. However, this time allow me to disagree with you on you assessment of Bash's most recent performances.

First let me preface this by saying that English also happens to be my first language and I work in a related field. Suffice it to say that I've been in and out of sound studios, sound stages and live show backstages for the better part of the past 15 years both as intern and working professional.

What Bash went through with Julio Iglesias was simply criminal - but in no way his fault. The guy was out on that stage, practically at gunpoint, in front of the "biggest" foreign artist who ever graced that stage. Can you imagine the adrenaline rush? I'm totally impressed because he didn't freeze...and I swear to you I've seen American and European artists freeze up and turn to stone on live stages in situations similar or less stressful than this. I've also seen one of the older generation's Egyptian singers turn into a statue for a couple of endless minutes because he spaced out the song he was about to perform and then walk off the stage at a concert on the Mediterranean. It happens every day in the professional world and this inexperienced guy (Bash) had every right on earth to completely blow it, but he didn't. He pulled a performance off and pretty much saved the day because Mr. Airhead big shot star came with the wrong music and then decided to sulk and make an 11th hour change. C'mon, cut the guy some slack here.

As for his performance of Forever on Friday and his pronunciation of English words, which I concur is nowhere near perfect, but then again was Nader Guirat's English or French pronunciation perfect? His French, though heavily accented, is better than his English, but you can immediately tell where he comes from because of the accent. As for his English, well, it was worse than Bash's and that's putting it mildly. Mind you, I like Nader a lot and truly thought there was a great artist waiting to happen there, had he taken the right direction...jury's still out on that, but that's not what I'm discussing here.

Furthermore, you can rest assured that Bash will not be singing anything other than Arabic when he leaves StarAc. Right now he's one of three people who sing in English, because it makes for good TV according to the StarAc production team. Whether you see it this way or not is a matter of opinion that, unfortunately, none of us have any control over. The only thing we can do if we don't like what we see is switch our TVs off and be done with the whole show.

The bashing of Mohamed Bash is becoming quite old and is mostly based on his personal affairs at the academy, which I've missed quite a bit of recently; however expected to see fussed about at some point, which is exactly what is happening now. In his own style, he's quite good....maybe one of the strongest. He is not yet at a point where he needs to compete with Basma and possibly Azouz (if he lasts till the final stages, which at this point I doubt very much), but given that each of them is judged in their own style, he may possibly have a little bit more than others to offer right now. I know some people don't like to hear this, because they want to blame Bash for not voting for their favorite candidate (Diala, Khawla, et al), but if you look at the full picture and not just the tiny little spec that interests you, you'll see what I mean.

I'm getting quite weary of defending people who can't defend themselves and are unaware they're being hacked to bits on forums like this simply because they've achieved higher viewership than others and are being focused on by the production team at StarAc.

But Lara, she did not say any thing otherthan she will stop doing something. I think she meant her fear from the camera. Am I right or I missed any parts??

However, the way he was holding (or may be I should say "surrounding") her while they were dancing was full of love, care, tenderness & protection.

I have also seen a clip on justin when she was blaming him that he is not concentrating enough and he whispered "ba7ebek".
