Mohammed Sirag - Weak voice, no charisma..boring on stage..boring overall. He makes the songs i used to love, now hate them i swear. He makes them souns SO bad! He should be out alooong time ago!
M. Sirag is nice sweet and all, okay. But its not enough. Looking for a star, he doesnt have to have THAT personality! Look at the hundreds of artists in the world, becoming super famous and rich and people love them for their music and voice. But what do we know about their personality and attitude? Half of the comments i read here says " (Put studentname here) is the reason why i watch this show!! " You said it! "WATCH THIS SHOW" Don't you guys understand what you are saying? Thats exactly what Rola wants us to watch the show based on the looks of the students and their personality and their "act" they have got in the academy. Without the funny acts and fake love stories that is happening, nobody is gonna watch the show 24/24! , no? Everything is for the programs benefit .And as I said , EVERYTHING IS FOR THE PROGRAMS BENEFITS. Do you guys really think that Staracademy/Rola , whatever, gives a SHITTT about who wins? They dont f''king care if Bash wins, Mohamed, Bassma wins the academy. Its not gonna benefit the academy, is it? They are not gonna be happy for their sake, are they? They just want the money out of the going-to-be-the-star-of-staracademy6- 's money by your votings.
And the reason for why they put Nazem, Yehia and Sirag, is because Rola wants Sirag out. She is smart. I enjoyed reading your comment. On all points you went over you are right. There are two parts in the show : the primes and the "rest" (of it). If you watch the "rest" you get attached to some candidates, and that is the purpose of the Rula's work, to make you like some candidates, as you are going to vote for them regardless of how much they are good at singing. If you watch the primes and nothing else, you can enjoy some parts and think about those who get voted out just they have a bad luck. Apparently the revenues from the primes are not enough for Rula and whoever owns the rights for the show. That is why they have expended the whole thing, season after season. I wonder where is the limit ?
It is interesting how many people believe we should be "grateful" to Rula and her team that we have this show, the most popular TV show in the ME - many times has been said. What the hack I have to be grateful for ?! For the work they do and make nice living from it ?! It can be even found that without Rula we would not have this show ! What a bunch of crap ! What is the Rula's "heroic" effort she puts in this show ? She is just a greedy businesswoman and does what is in the line of her nature. She is constantly expending the premises, investing money in the new features - because she is expecting returns for the investments. If she is getting tired - not a big deal. There are many other groups in the ME who are more than willing to give Rula the well-deserved relief, have her retired and buy the rights for the show and take it over.
However, Rula does not work alone. One of the chief guys is Fuad, the "professor" - who has never had to teach anything. Rula likes the camera, but this guy likes the acting as well. He is posing as an "artist" besides. All the reputations he's got is based on his discovering Julia Butros - as if anybody had to "discover" her. His love for acting is very handy in the show : last year he was arguing with others - in those mock discussions - that as long as he was there Qwaider was not going to be nominated; and, what happened - Qwaider was nominated. Fuad was also going to kill himself if Nader was to win; and, what happened - Nader won ! Fuad and Rula are the directors of the show and if anyone is planning anything - they do it; so, he new what was cooked up, and was just lying (you nay say, for the sake of a good show), No doubt Fuad likes drama on the TV : he often yells and pounds on the table. It would be ok if this were just for the dramatic effects, but at the same time he is insulting the candidates - because they cannot shout back, and Fuad knows that ! They are no "students," they have signed the contracts and they literally work for the show, like the "professors." There should be mutual supporting, and they should just play their roles. Fuad goes over the rim with his foaming on the mouth. Rula is more discrete and shouts at the candidates behind the cameras. When Fuad was shouting at Siraj after the last nomination, I just wanted to see Siraj getting to Fuad and giving him a nice slap on the face and wake him up ! They are equal and are only working on the show, and are not in some bloody Ottoman military academy ! I could not see that, but I wanted so much to see Fuad smacked. Fuad was of course acting, but Siraj was not. That was the point that made the whole scene very ugly and inexcusable for the Starac team. That's is why I could only respect Siraj, as I did Nadhim who did not want to go to participate in the circus.
Anyhow, this part of the show, the reality TV, is interesting if you like that sort of thing. I do not, and stick to the primes, but, as I have been watching the starac for years, have a peek on and off ... You said a very reasonable thing - the viewers should not spend money on voting; the eliminations are planned anyway. Next week they will have another Yahya nominated and everyone will be voting "as crazy" ...

and just a little insight you can tell who is going to go home because they always sit the kids in a particular way if Nazem was to stay the Lebanon kids would have sat in the last three seats to ensure his safe arrival back to the academy but since they sat in the front or first three I knew he was going to leave.....that is why they put the last 3 Diala Lara and Aya in the last three spots because they were a for sure vote for Siraj......try to notice that next time it has been like this since last year and the year before that.......watch for it next week it is almost all the time right....
Last week Bassma and Khowla were in the first seats because Rula thought that they will vote for sure for Ines and they did not because they are close to Nazem more and I respect them for that......and the three lebanon kids sat in the last three spots and they voted Nazem last week so do you guys see how it works.....

and as for the whole thing that tania should be a nominee i think thats not to fair because yehia (who i like very much) his voice capability was all in his hands hes the one who didnt keep his mouth shut (he ticked me off lol) so that his voice can heal and on the other hand tania is sick like sore throat sick its not a matter of not talking like it was in yehias case hers will take a week to heal and she will be fine

i read her bio that she wrote before she was in the academy. she has been trying to get into the music industry for a few years now. she has performed with a famous Italian singing, and Karl Wolf.

it pissed me off solely because she voted for M. Siraj because he is from Egypt. not because she likes him or because their better friends. she personally said she likes Nazem more. Siraj has a terrible voice, and has been nominated now 4 times. He should have left. I don't really like him either. He gets all upset when he is nominated like he didn't know it was coming.
Really, i don't like Lara. When the show first started i didn't pay much attention to her, but now in every dailies its her constantly whinnying about her boyfriend. She wants her boyfriends attention, but also wants Bash's attention, she tells him that while she is in the academy she is single, and her boyfriend is just another person. she isn't progressing, every week she sounds the same, and does practically the same thing over again with just a different song. i can already predict next weeks performance ..it will be an english pop song ..lol.. probably rihanna's since she has already sang 3 of her songs.
she has no versatility. she talks about how she is able to sing in 4 languages, but thus far all I've heard is these English pop songs. i doubt she can really speak 4 languages. she barely speaks Arabic and lives in Egypt. the so called other languages that she supposedly able to speak are probably like her arabic.
i don't care that she talks in English... who cares what language she is more comfortable to use. as long as i can understand what she is saying i dont care ..speak in english, but this is an Arab show. if i wanna listen to English music I'd watch American Idol. If she can't sing Arabic then sing a song in french or Italian. Something different instead of being so predictable every week, its B O R I N G!
i don't know what to say i am happy that yahya & sirag are bk, but so bad nazem went. haram nazem and sirag are separated the best buddies... no more 'sadi5i al-saduu5'. in a way is good for him coz he didnt want to stay anymore and he wasn't feeling the academy & was roud to the teachers so he is better of with out this show. and serag will be out next week no dept, coz he insulted the show like nazem so rula will kick him out and by now we nw he is everyweeks bully of nomination. but i will love him outside the academy even more then i love him inside the academy.

Lara is def. not a "wow", if she wins (like nader) its a shame because she hasn't sung ONE song in Arabic, it feels like American idol when shes around. she is what i call "westernized" although she lives in Egypt. Ironic.
good luck to all, but people who need to leave asap are: NASSER!, and Azzi (he ruins every song he sings) girls are blinded by his looks. Need a proof? look at his performance with Saad, he ruined the song...compare him with Saad and then fight me for saying this. looks aside, If you think Azzi has a good voice, then i am sorry, you don't have ANY musical experience what so ever. looks can be deceiving...he messes up the notes somehow in each song..its like he changes it in a bad way.

Guys this is not superstar , mean this is not a programme to focus on good voices only that they can reach high notes and etcc.
this programme is based on voice, performance on stage and in the academy , so you everyone are speaking as you are music teachers since 1890 . Bash and Lara are great cuase they are shining on the stage so bash was great yesterday with the fisrt and second tablue his voice is great he does't have to rich the highest note to tell that his voice is great and don't forget that he can sing both english and arabic
and for the one who told that zaher's performance was better that bash's performance , i think ur wrong , go bash and go lara ur both great

Just saw the prime...Basma top 1..great geat geat!!!, Bash and lara on the tableau..not as bad as some of you said,...we have seen the worse.. but i agree it is high time he starts singing arabic and work hard on that, if he put as much time as he puts learning those english songs, he would improve a lot!..., Michele R..deserved to be on top 5.... instead of bash and lara, and Tanya should be nominated next time no matter what -- they nominated yahia!..Nazem ..oh..too bad he left..wished he could have stayed longer...Mohammed S., what is left to say...he has clearly the weakest male voice..next to nasser...the only guy that deserve to leave before him is nasser..

Comments about the prime in no particular oder :)
1- Micho Azzi did good but nasehz in some parts....but again the guys' performance is very predictable n cold actually
2- Micho Rmeh, his best performance in primes, first time for me to feel he progressed.
3- Aya: better than last week def.
4- Bash n Lara, i actually liked their performance
5-Bash and Zaher: tht was really nice too
6-Ibrahim: he did good this prime
7- Abdel Aziz , Basma and Khawla didnt shine this prime
8- Diala was good better in the first song, nashezet a bit in the second song.
9-Tania...that was not good at all
10-Nasser...didnt like the lyrics at all..n he has to stop saying that he will win starac
11- Really sad that nazem left, i like sirag a lot but the guy will be def. nominated nxt week so y bring him back??

Lara, i did like her in ONE performance she did in the begining which was "Stress". She sang it well. But with time i started to dislike her..shes not shining anymore at ALL. And why on earth would we be jealous on Lara?
