The Asian Football Game winners Qatar are on a role! They've won their first ever Asian Games title after beating Iraq in the final match 1-0 and clinched the Gold.
Now, they're dreaming of more than Asia and they want one of the best coaches in the world to help them.
And of course, money is no issue.
They want Erickson! And I'm not talking cell phones here. They are in negotiations to get the ex-English team's coach to the Gulf in order lead the Qatar team to glory.

Fabio Cannavaro, or 'Il Muro Di Berlino', is one of Italy's best players, he is the Italian national team captain, a defender & has proven to the world that he can be much more!

More bad news for Iraq came today as its team lost the final game against host nation Qatar in the Asian Cup Games held in Doha.
Both teams came to a goalless draw at the end of the fist half but that goal silence was ended at the 65th minute when Bilal scored a header from a corner kick. Iraq's team tried hard to equalize the result but Qatar's team proved of a higher standard keeping the result at 1-0 all the way up till the 90th minute.
The Iraqi team kept the crowd guessing till the last minute with their die-hard, never give up style but that wasn’t enough to get the ball in the net.

With Cech out with a fractured skull and Cudicini also missing because of concussion, Barcelona could have easily taken advantage of the wonderful game between Chelsea and Barcelona in the Champions League. But nevertheless, the London group scored a goal signed by Drogba seconds after half-time to give Jose Mourinho's side a thoroughly deserved win and make it three straight victories in the group.
Despite ending his career with the head-butt of the century, Zinedine Zidane was nominated for this year's FIFA World Player of the Year award.

…and he was right!
Croatia were not only good, England were terrible! The result stretched Croatia's impressive unbeaten run at home to 30 competitive matches and Bilic believes it also put England in a complicated position.
A position that received no mercy from England’s harsh media. The Sun newspaper said the keeper's "comedy caper" showed McClaren's new England era was "fast turning into a joke" and said fans jeered the England players as they made their way to the team bus.

Ok, things seemed to be going down hill for David Beckham when he announced that he'd resigned as England's team captain.
But nobody thought things would get this bad! David Beckham has been left out of the England squad to face Greece in a friendly game next week!
England's coach Steve McClaren didn't include Beckham or for that matter Rooney, who was left out because he is suspended from England's first two Euro 2008 qualifiers.
McClaren said: I spoke with David last Monday & notified him of my decision & said I was planning for the future, to change things & go in a different direction, & that David wasn't included in that.

Last night during the most important & critical match of the World Cup between France & Italy, Zinedine Zidane did the unbelievable; he got enraged & gave a dangerous head-butt to Italian player Marco Materazzi & got sent off the green with a red card only 20 minutes before the end of the match during extra-time.
It seems Materazzi provoked Zindane verbally & that's what sent him off.
This final World Cup match is also the final match for Zidane before his retirement, & ending his career like this is a big shame & he will never have a chance to redeem himself!

David Beckham has announced his resignation as England's captain after England lost their chance of winning the world cup by losing to Portugal in penalty kicks on Saturday.

He was very emotional but had to take such a serious step in order to take the pressure off himself & his whole family.
And as for the team's performance in the world cup, Beckham said: Our performance during this World Cup has not been enough to progress further, and both myself and all the players regret that, and I hurt... I hurt by that more than people realize.
