They say that children have a way of changing a person’s priorities. And this seems to be the case with Tennis’ Number 1 Roger Federer. Although he still wants to finish as No.1, there will be some changes in his commitment to the game. Federer says the arrival of his twin girls, Myla and Charlene, makes him want to be the best parent he can. At this moment, he can’t be there most of the time to take care of his babies. Most of the responsibility falls on his wife Mirka who gave birth to the twins last month. According to Federer after the US Open and until the end of the year, he will just take things easy, be more of a Dad, and decide then what his game plan for next year will be.

Anyway, the joy of being a father is showing as Roger Federer came up with dominant first set on Sunday. He had a 6-1, 7-5 success over Novak Djokovic. For this he got the Cincinnati Masters title. It’s his very first victory since becoming a Dad, which just makes it all sweeter and more memorable.

He said, “That’s the special part, especially winning for the first time as a dad. It gets me going emotionally a little bit because I know it’s been a wonderful summer.”
