Former world No. 1, Martina Hingis, is being investigated for testing positive for cocaine after a urine test at Wimbledon this year ... she claims she's 100% innocent!
The 27-year-old Swiss tennis star, has decided to talk directly to the press to explain herself:
"I find this accusation so horrendous, so monstrous. I am frustrated and angry. I believe that I am absolutely, 100 percent innocent. I have never taken drugs."
This said, at a conference in Switzerland, she also announced her retirement ... for the second time.
This shocked tennis fans around the world ... a double surprise! Not a happy one either!
So, if she didn't take drugs, how did her urine test be positive for cocaine? ... There are two simple options; someone could have sabotaged her by spiking her drink or she's simply lying!
Hingis became the youngest major champion of the 20th century when she won the 1997 Australian Open at 16, and later that year reached No. 1.
She's a five-time Grand Slam champion and former Wimbledon winner.
