We cannot anticipate totally who will dominate in the clash between the confident current no.1 Justine Henin and formerly no.1 ranked home favorite Serena Williams, but Henin playing the US Open exceptionally good. Making brilliant play when she wrong-footed Williams to end a point in the second set and claimed she was lucky by her opponent.
Serena cannot figure out how to beat Henin that caused her to make a lot of errors. She dictated the tempo along the baseline until a smooth backhand and a well-served forehand by Henin gave enough confidence and aggressiveness to the play that began to pull away the scores 7-6, 6-1 from a tight first set on last Tuesday’s match up. Henin winning 11 of 14 points as she pressed forward while Williams was only 5 of 14.
Henin meekly said “she felt she played her best tennis” as she looks to make up for her failure and live up to be top seed and not just to be lucky...
