Iraq Wins First Asian Cup

Iraq First Asian Cup

After the almost non-stop bombings and wars Iraq has a reason to celebrate. In the Asian Cup held on Sunday in Jakarta, Indonesia, Iraq won their very first Asian Cup. This victory is a very inspiring one for Iraq because of the tragedies that they have recently experienced. Iraq’s soccer team won over Saudi Arabia in a 1-0 score. The Iraq team was not daunted by the fact that the favor leant heavily on the Saudi Arabia team, which won the Cup for three times already. Iraq soccer team’s captain is Sunni Turkman and the whole team is made up of Sunni Arab and Kurdish players.

In Iraq, the people’s elation can be clearly seen in the massive street celebration. The people were so euphoric that some even fired their guns in the air. The police reported 7 deaths with more than 50 people injured. Some celebrated by dancing on the streets with their painted faces. Celebrations also transpired in Baghdad, Basra and the Holy City of Najaf as well as in the various towns therein.

mabrook mabrooook wa alffff mabrook to iraq on this achievment. the team truely played amazing and stunned the audience. they were in full control of the game, saudi hardly had any chances lol. walla they really made every iraqi in the world smile, laugh, sing and dance from the bottom of their hearts...something that hasnt happened for long now. well done to all the players, they made us proud. this is wat iraq is about, we dont care if your sunni/shia/christian/arab/kurd/turkumeni etc....we are all iraqis. this is how iraq has always been and will always be! allah yil3an the enemies of iraq who are causing all the trouble.
(just a quick note to waleg, u got some info. there wrong. true younis is sunni turkumen, hawar is sunni kurd, but the rest of the players are shia arab, not sunni.....well not as if it makes a difference coz they are all our boys, and all are brothers and are united, but just thought i'd correct that.)
anyway, mabrook again to iraq and to the arab world. wats important is that the cup is arab.

mabrooook to iraq. im neither iraqi nor saudi but gotta admit that match was superb! iraq dominated totally, they deserve the cup and a half!
well done to the players, their achievment is far beyond simply winning a match, theyr achievment is global and made iraqis everywhere happy.
