Wembley Stadium

Football fans, bracing yourselves for the FA Cup final? Well it’s not just you because the Football Association has also made the necessary arrangement for the said event and for this year’s final, London’s Wembley Stadium will be the host. The necessary inspections have been conducted already, even conducting two test events – a community day and last Saturday’s Under-21 between England vs. Italy, in the Wembley Stadium to see if it is really on the ready for the FA Cup final.

With these trial runs and inspections, the Wembley Stadium is now ready to hold football fans up to 90,000. FA chief executive Brian Barwick is very happy with the results and according to him “I’m happy to confirm that the 2007 FA Cup final, sponsored by E.ON, will be played at Wembley Stadium...The cup final and Wembley Stadium go hand in hand and everybody at the FA is looking forward to a great day.”

The Cup final is definitely something that a lot of football aficionados have been waiting for and the Wembley Stadium is just the perfect place for it. For those who are not aware, the Wembley Stadium is the largest indoor entertainment facility in the world, with its thousand-foot long arch situated over the breadth of the pitch. At its peak, the arch rises approximately 450 feet. Wow fantastic! A great place for ending a great game.
