Fans of Adam Scott who have devotedly followed the events of the PGA Tour would have probably shouted hurrah when the 26-year-old Australian finally rolled the ball right in the hole in last Sunday’s three-stroke victory. This youngest golfer so far has played quite consistently in the past five years of his professional career. His various victories have catapulted him in line with some of the best golfers in the world.
This PGA Tour victory is just the final touch to his consistent season. Playing mistake-free golf in last Sunday’s finale has earned him the shiny trophy and has made this year his best year ever. The 4-under-par 66 score made him way ahead of his competitors. A 3-shot lead in the 7th, 9th and 10th holes, gave him victory over the next leading chaser Jim Furyk. This latest win earned him the 3rd place in the money list, the highest rank he ever had at the year’s end.
