In addition to Hisham Garrouj and Ibrahim Boulami, Hassiba benHassi / Hasna Benhassi completes the golden trio of Moroccan runners.
At only 19, she won her first gold medal after winning the 800-meter in the Mediterranean games. Two years later she scored a world record for women at the same game.

Unfortunately an injury to her leg stopped her career, but she over came it and came back with force to win a gold medal in the 1.500-meter run in the year 2001.
In Athens last year, she won the silver medal in the 800-meter run, and has the Pekin 2008 between her eyes.
