Spain and Croatia are through to the final. Spain, the first in its history, of the World Championships after a 33-30 win over Tunisia. The hosts, looking tired after several very demanding games, could not answer the challenge of the Spanish defence and especially of goalie Barrufet.

Croatia will play against Spain in the World Championship final after a 35-32 win v France in the semi final. Led by the world's best player, Ivano Balic, the Croatians made the most of the French mistakes and cruised to a comfortable victory.
