Adrian Mutu

Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu has admitted to testing positive for cocaine usage.
The Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) stated on Tuesday that the Romanian international will not take a second drugs test, as his acceptance of September's positive result means that he foregoes any right to a second or 'B' sample.

PFA chief executive Gordon Taylor said: "He will not be going ahead with the second test. He has tested positive for cocaine...

The PFA chief believes it would not be in Chelsea's interest to sack Mutu, as they did goalkeeper Mark Bosnich who also tested positive for cocaine, because of the amount of money spent on the player.

The 25-year-old has scored six times in 27 Premiership outings for the Blues since his £15.8million move from Parma in August 2003, but has seen just 49 minutes of first-team action this season.
