Liselotte Neumann

Liselotte Neumann won her first LPGA Tour title in six years, holding off a late charge by Grace Park for a three-stroke victory at the LPGA Asahi Ryokuken International Championship on Sunday.

Neumann established a notable amateur career in Europe. She was the Swedish Amateur champion in 1982 and 1983, Swedish Match Play champion in 1983 and represented Sweden in the European Team Championship in 1984 and the World Team Championship in 1982 and 1984...

In 1988 Neumann won the LPGA Rookie of the Year Award and captured the U.S. Women's Open. She is the 12th LPGA player to post the Open as her first career win. Neumann was named Swedish golfer of the year for 1994 and was a member of the 1990, 1992, 1994, 1996 and 1998 European Solheim Cup teams.

During the 2001 season Neumann recorded four top-20 finishes, including a tie for fifth at The Office Depot, where she posted her season-low score of 67 in the second round. She also tied for 12th at the McDonald's LPGA Championship
