
Maria Sharapova, Wimbledon champion rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Marta Domachowska in Sunday's final of the $140,000 Korea Open Tennis Championships.
Sharapova needed 56 minutes to capture the fifth singles title of her career and third this year. The top-seeded Russian lost just 15 games during the tournament...
She became the fifth woman this year to win three or more titles, joining American Lindsay Davenport (six), Belgian Justine Henin-Hardenne (five) and Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova and Frenchwoman Amelie Mauresmo (three).
The tennis star will return to Korea next year to play in the games. Later this week, she will play in the Japan Open, where she won her first WTA singles title.
