Rafael Nadal inadvertently showed off his lean body last week at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center Flushing, Queens when he toweled his body dry during a break in his match with Nicolas Mahat.

His shirtless pictures show that Rafael or Rafa, as lots of people call him, is in great shape for his game. But then appearances can sometimes be deceiving right, because underneath that lean and seemingly great physique is a machine that’s about to crumple.

Bahrain Grand Prix is Back in the 2012 F1 Calendar

Bahrain is once again a part of the 20-race F1 Grand Prix happening next year! The racing event will be heading to this country on April 22, 2012. It will be the fourth race scheduled next year, back to back with China. This was confirmed through a unanimous decision by the World Motor Sport Council members.

The F1 Grand Prix this year was supposed to open in Bahrain’s Sakhir circuit last March; however, it did not materialize due to political unrest in the country. There were plans to reschedule but in the end Bahrain was dropped from the 2011 calendar.

Danica Patrick to Race Full-Time in NASCAR

NASCAR is one of every car racer’s dreams, so being able to compete in this series is quite a privilege. And it’s a privilege that Danica Patrick won’t pass up! Although it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, it seems that Danica will be moving to NASCAR in 2012.

According to Associated Press, Danica will compete full time in the National Series for JR Motorsports. She will be driving No. 7 Chevrolet under JRM. Also, Danica will race part time in NASCAR Sprint Cup with Tony Stewart’s Stewart –Haas Racing. Associated Press got their information from two people familiar with the situation but refused to be named because she’s still under contract with her IndyCar team.

Tiger Woods is Playing at Bridgestone Invitational

Tiger Woods is now ready to go back to golf after an 11-week break to make his left leg better. He will be playing at this week’s WGC Bridgestone Invitational to be held at Firestone, in Akron Ohio. He made the announcement himself on his Twitter page last Thursday, “Feeling fit and ready to tee it up at Firestone next week. Excited to get back out there!”

Woods hasn’t played since May 12 after withdrawing from the Players Championship due to pain in his knee and Achilles. These injuries were acquired while he was playing at the Masters back in April.

It’s rumored that Michael is dating socialite Brittny Gastineau when the pair was spotted together on Friday night at the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles chatting the night away. The following day, they were again caught by TMZ cameras shopping at Nordstrom at the Grove and dropping by Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf for refreshments. But they took off after seeing the cams and drove off in a large SUV, with Michael apparently driving.

Linebacker Junior Seau Drives Off a Cliff

If you are an avid NFL fan for sure you know linebacker Junior Seau. On Monday, the authorities had to rescue him after he crashed his car off a cliff. Some say that he drove his car off the cliff on purpose in Carlsbad, California after he was released from jail due to charges of domestic violence. Yes they say it’s a suicide attempt!

However, Junior Seau himself denies that. He said that he simply fell asleep at the wheel of his Cadillac Escalade that caused him to drive off the cliff. He was the only occupant of the vehicle. He was taken to a nearby hospital in Carlsbad immediately. Good thing the NFL player didn’t suffer serious injuries.

Rutgers Eric LeGrand Paralyzed After Tackle Accident

Accidents happen in the playing field but that’s alright as long as the injury is only minor. However, what happened to Rutgers defensive lineman Eric LeGrand is not a minor injury unfortunately. He sustained a spine injury that paralyzed him from the neck down.

LeGrand suffered spine injury after colliding with Malcolm Brown of Army’s. All the players were on the action after the kickoff when LeGrand’s head sharply bumped against Brown’s shoulder; suddenly he just fell to the ground and couldn’t get move.
