Ma'an Al Nusoor, executive director for Jordan's investment board said that the kingdom is amongst the top 20 countries in the world to encourage foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2005.
Out of the 141 countries, Jordan came in at number 19 following countries like, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Luxembourg, Sudan and others.

Nusoor said the country brought in $1.5 billion in 2005 which was a result of the country's extensive economic reform plan to encourage foreign investment.

The total amount of FDI's in the kingdom jumped from 23.6% in 2004 to a whopping 53% in 2005 which is over double the capacity.
It seems that someone is doing something right.
