At the Pergamon Museum in Berlin, there is a big section dedicted to Islamic Art and history. I had to take a photo of this unbelievable gold water jug from the abbasid era ... WOW!

I agree, WOW!
Look at those beautiful curves... They indeed show very stunning worksmanship. My favorite Islamic era for art was the Ummayyad, whether it is to be seen during their first rule in the Levant through such monumental works such as the Dome of the Rock and the Ummayyad Mosque, or through their second rule at al Andalus with all its implications.
I think I want to blog about this myself... thanks for the inspiration!
