Look at those beautiful curves... They indeed show very stunning worksmanship. My favorite Islamic era for art was the Ummayyad, whether it is to be seen during their first rule in the Levant through such monumental works such as the Dome of the Rock and the Ummayyad Mosque, or through their second rule at al Andalus with all its implications.
I think I want to blog about this myself... thanks for the inspiration!
