I love this boy but I'm scared he will say no if I ask him out?

Dear Kathryn,

Asking him out doesn't mean going up to him and blurting out that you want to go out with him! You can do it smoothly and indirectly; while you are talking casually with him, mention that you're hungry, and that you would like to grab a bit, and ask him if he would like to tag along and have something to eat as well.
Try that, if he says no, that isn't considered that he let you down, he just isn't hungry!
Take things easy, and don't try too hard.
