I have been married for 8 years and I don't know if I am in love with my husband or my ex-fiancé of 3 years. I am so confused I don't know what to do. I have strong feelings for both. My ex-fiancé and I were so compatible. My husband and I are total opposites. Help! I am so confused!

Dear Confused,
You say you’ve been married for 8 years, and that isn’t a short time! Did you marry your husband for the wrong reasons? You must have married him because you really love him … or you wouldn’t have left your ex, you would have married him instead!
I think you should reason with yourself, and forget about your ex.
Being opposites with your husband might be the reason for loving him; he is different.
And don’t throw away 8 years of your life just because you’re confused or because you’re opposites!

HUH! Opposites in a marriage do nothing but clash!!! Trust me I live it. You could not find 2 more opposite people than me and my husband. If you don't TRULY LOVE your husband do both of yourselves a favor and get out !!! It doesn't get better, maybe more familiar, comfortable but your true self will never be honestly open with your husband. Don't suffocate with a decision you made 8 years ago. I have a similar situation, in that a boyfriend from the past is always in my heart and mind but the time was never right for us. He being a drifter, bohemian to an extent and me wanting to settle down and have a family. We loved and still love each other but respect what time has given us. I know that if my marriage ends, I will find him waiting as always, patiently.
