There is this boy at school that I have liked for over a year now (he is also my best male friend). I could kind of tell he liked me but his closest friend just told me that he has strong feelings for me. I really do love him but he told his friend that he wouldn’t tell me because he is afraid to say it to me because he thinks it will ruin our friendship and if anyone says anything it needs to be me.

He is also moving to go to college in a month for college and he wants me to go too but I don’t want to leave my family here. I’m so confused and I'll feel horrible if he leaves here without telling him my true feelings but I don’t know if I should tell him. What do I do?

Dear Lillian,

If you don’t want to keep anything in your heart, then you have to be frank about your feelings and tell him before he leaves and you will regret it later.
If there is a chance that your friendship will be ruined because of a change in the relationship, then you will have to just sit on it!
See what your heart and mind tell you, and do what makes you feel better.
