Simple Vanilla Yogurt Cake

yogurt cake

This simple cake has become a favorite of mine!
Try it once and you'll want to make one everyday!
The first time I made this, my hubby and I ate it all in one sitting!

Make sure to use a small yogurt container (110g) as your measure.

Ingredients:

2 containers plain yogurt
1 1/2 container sugar
1/2 container vegetable oil (preferably sun flower oil)
1 large egg
2 tsps vanilla essence
2 containers flour
4 tsps baking powder

In a large bowl, mix all the wet ingredients together very well with the sugar and egg.
You want the sugar to dissolve into the liquid totally.
Mix the flour and baking powder together and add to the liquid.
Don't over mix!

In a greased and floured loaf mold pour the mixture.
Bake for 25 minutes in a preheated oven (180 c.)

When done, let cool and devour! You get my permission to eat it all! Yum-O!

Laila, there's a difference between baking powder and yeast.
We use active yeast (brown colored particles that start bubbling when adding warm water to them) for bread and baking powder for cakes.
    I hope this helps!

    my mother told me that:

baking powder in french is: levure chimique
and "yeast" in french is: levure de boulanger
