Spring is here! And the best thing to do is to take advantage of the weather and try to eat outside! Under the trees, on the lawn and among the flowers.
Enjoying a meal with family or friends outside is a great way to spend quality time with the people you love.
Now, the meal has to be special and mouth-watering too!
I have come across a really good fish recipe, which is perfect for such an occasion; Beer-battered Fried Fish.
Ingredients:
1. seasoned flour: 3 cups flour - 2 tbsp salt - 2 tbsp granulated garlic - 1/2 tsp pepper - 1 tbsp paprika
2. seasoned breadcrumbs: 3 cups breadcrumbs - 1 tbsp salt - 2 tbsp paprika - 2 tbsp cajun seasoning
3. 1 kilo fresh fish fillets for frying
4. 1 cup beer
5. oil for frying
In a deep heavy pan, heat oil.
Cut the fish into 12 pieces.
Fill a shallow bowl with the beer.
Dredge a peice of fish in the flour, then dip into the beer, then again into the breadcrumbs. - do that with all fish pieces -
Put into the hot oil without crowding the pieces.
Fry for 2 - 3 minutes until medium brown and crispy.
Serve with french fries, a wedge of fresh lemon & tartar sauce.
Enjoy!
