Hmmm, Brownies. My husband is the biggest Brownie fan in the world! And I don’t blame him; chocolate and nuts go very well together, especially when the resulting dough is soft. Yummy!
The following recipe is easy and fun for all the family…
Ingredients:
1/4 cup cocoa powder
2/3 cup flour
5 tbsp butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
½ cup crushed nuts (walnuts, pecans …)
Preheat oven to 375F.
Prepare a baking dish. I use an 8x8 inches square glass dish. An 8x8 or 9x9 round dish should work too. If the dish is nonstick, you don't need to do anything. If it's not nonstick, grease it.
Melt the butter and stir the cocoa powder into melted butter.
In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar for several minutes.
Add butter/cocoa mixture to egg mixture and stir. Add the flour and stir until combined (don't over mix).
Put the batter in the baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkles nuts on top and put in the oven.
Bake for 25 minutes and take it out. It will seem undercooked, but it's not! Don't be tempted to continue baking it until it's hard - you would end up with a tough brownie!
Let it cool down for 10 minutes, and you'll have a soft, fudgy, yummy brownie! Slice it and eat.
