We all saw Star Academy contestant Abdallah withdraw from the competition last night and he certainly left with a bang. Now Abadallah’s sister has launched a campaign in Saudi Arabia asking all Abdallah lovers to abstain from voting for any contestants in order to inflict financial losses on LBC. She claims that there was a lot of editing to the footage we saw yesterday in the dailies in order to make Abdallah sound like he was wrong and that Mohamed actually attacked him physically and Madame Roula refused to come to his aid! To be very honest it looks to me like Abdallah was such a well behaved boy and he was the favourite to win and he ruined it all for himself in the last minute! If he wanted to leave he could have left quietly without making such a fuss!

In the midst of all that is occurring in Lebanon right now the Lebanese people have chosen to defy the enemy and go on singing and bringing happiness into the hearts of many. And in this spirit two of the brightest Lebanese stars Carole Smaha and Star Academy star Joseph Attieh travelled to Australia to perform in a highly successful concert. I mean it is difficult to stay in touch with Arab music and culture when you are so far away but this concert brought together Arabs from all over Australia who came to enjoy this taste of true Arab culture.

Last night on American Idol 2008, the final three had their chance to perform three songs each to gain the audiences votes.
Tonight, one will leave and two will compete for the title of American Idol!
How did the final three do? Well, let’s say the two David’s did great and Syesha could have done much better!
David Cook performed Roberta Flack's "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", Switchfoot's "Dare You to Move" and Aerosmith's "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing".
David did great and got good reviews from the judges, although his version of ''Dare You to Move'' was kinda’ flat and bit pitchy!

Before the nomination, Nader had a gut feeling that Mohammad and Shahi were going to be nominated, and so did Shahi herself!
As for Saad, no one thought he’d be a nominee … they were all right!
Shahi promised the guys that if she isn’t nominated, she’ll be playing pranks on them up and down all day!
After the eval, Mohammad recorded the day in history … as he carved it on the wooden table in the garden as they enjoyed a bit of sun.
Suddenly, the guys had the urge to order a few things; Nargila, pistachios and a couple of cigarettes! They're joking of course!
Then they got their pillows and their mattresses and decided to sleep outside! But they got afraid of the creepy-crawlies and went back inside!
Later in the day, the guys bugged Shahi about food and eating … so she decided to play a prank on them.
They asked her to make tea and she did … but what sorta’ tea … one made with lots of salt instead of sugar! Yuck!

The whole story of Abdallah's withdrawal from the Academy has been clarified.
Mme. Rula discussed the situation with Abdallah; his family isn't happy with last weeks nomination and they feel that their son isn't happy inside the Academy. So, they offer him the chance to withdraw from the Academy.
They call him and discuss the thing with him and he starts weighing his options.
Mme. Rula also tells him about the tense situation in Lebanon and how the Saudi's have already left the country.
