The Irony of Energy Drinks

Energy Drinks

You probably thought too that energy drinks that contain lots of sugar can combat sleepiness, but a study conducted by researchers from the University of Loughborough, England say otherwise. “Whilst there is good evidence that sugar intake can boost physical energy, there is little support for it having any benefits for a sleepy brain,” says Professor Jim Horne, head of the Sleep Research Centre of the university. Wrong Use of Sunscreen Puts People at Risk of Cancer

Wrong Use of Sunscreen Puts People at Risk of Cancer

A new study conducted by UK charity Restoration of Appearance and Function Trust (RAFT) reveals that most people do not use sunscreens the right way; thus, they are actually putting themselves at greater risk of developing skin cancer when using skin protection creams. By rubbing the sunscreen onto our skin, we make it futile, researchers say, as the cream builds up in lines and sweat glands. Consequently, we get no protection at all.

Babies Twins

Everyone in the family rejoices when a new baby is born. But if the mother gives birth to twins or even more, there’s is no reason for not having a much greater celebration. The level of excitement certainly doubles as well. But in certain occasions, multiple birth doesn’t come as joyful as it does to most parents, especially when the twins are conjoined. Giving birth to conjoined twins could also mean multiple risks both on the part of the mother and the babies such as in the case of the Chinese twins conjoined from the chest to the lower pelvis. They underwent a complicated 13-hour surgery last July 6 in Shanghai, China.
