Toilet training is one of the big challenges in child rearing, as some parents say. I can’t say it personally since I’m not yet a parent. Usually it takes 1 to 2 years before a child can be potty trained, or so that’s what people thought before. But it can also be made earlier than that through what they call as elimination communication. As young as 6 to 8 months parents can already start the potty training of their babies. By learning to identify the facial expressions or sounds that the baby makes when he or she needs to urinate or defecate.

By learning to identify these expressions, babies will be potty trained earlier and they can grow up diaper free. There are lots of accounts on the success of this early potty training. However, it is not that easy, if you’re a parent you really need to be attuned to every need of your baby. And just think of the benefits once you get your child potty trained earlier…you can say goodbye to changing diapers in the middle of the night and to huge laundry of wet sheets.
