Because of the desire to slim down at a faster rate some people exercise incessantly – meaning without any break in between each session. But do you know that instead speeding up the burning of fats, such practice just slows it down? A Japanese research says that having a 20-minute break between 30-minute workout session helps in the quicker burning of fats. In the research 7 men were made to take part in three kinds of activity exercises and it was found out that the workout that was broken into 2 half hour sessions brought about a faster burning of fats.

This research finding would be a very useful for those who are trying so hard to trim down their weight. Those fitness providers will also find this beneficial because they can design a better and more effective program for their clients. According to the lead researcher, “Most people are reluctant to perform a single bout of prolonged exercise. The repeated exercise with shorter bouts of exercise will be a great help in maintaining fitness.”

So if you read this, you should keep in mind that longer and rigid exercise does not mean faster burning of fat… repetition of shorter exercises can be more effective.
