Health

When I was a bit younger I had this thought of staying single for life...but lately seeing most of my friends getting married…well it gives me ideas. But anyway this recent news I’ve read certainly makes me re-evaluate. It says that staying single may not be good for your health and that compared to the lifespan of people who entered matrimony; the singles have a shorter life span. This is according to the researches at the University of California in Los Angeles.

Previously studies have already been made on the good health effects of marriage. This time, the study is more focused on the percentage of the population that chose to stay single for life. In the National Death Index for year 1997 and 1989 that they looked up, it showed that the highest percentage is of those who never married which is 20% compared to the 10% widowed, 12% divorced, 3% separated and 5% living with someone.

Study says that it is the single men that tend to suffer poor health rather than the women because women are more health conscious than men.
