Red Bull energy drink

I'm sure you've heard people saying "energy drinks are bad" "energy drinks are lethal" "energy drinks can kill you" etc...well, it seems that despite public concern, more than 500 new energy drinks were launched worldwide this year alone, Red Bull being the number one heavyweight champion of them all.

The question has been debated over and over again:
“Are these drinks in fact bad for you?”
I can't believe no one can give you a straight answer. Not too long ago, people were still debating Coke and Pepsi. How can this be any more difficult?

Besides the universal fact that abusing almost anything can be harmful, the bottom line is that anything with that much caffeine can't be good for you. Too much caffeine can cause adverse side effects, such as nervousness, irritability, increased heart rate and blood pressure, and insomnia.

However, the energy drink business is today a $3.4 billion-a-year industry that grew by 80 percent last year as 7.6 million American teenagers say they drink them, a sharp rise from last year's 3 million.

This means that since billions of dollars are being made, then the energy drinks are here to stay.
I wonder if they'll actually replace a good night's rest and some exercise.

I read somewhere that increased consumtion of such products is not good for your mental health over the long term. Forgot where I read it, must be all these Red Bulls and Vs i drink during the day, they do not taste good but they work.

redbull and enegy drinks in general r by far the most disgusting things i have ever had the misfortune to put in my mouth in my entire lifetime. it is beyond me why they r so popular when there isnt a single sane reason for them to be so.

wow nat.overeacting a bit?energy drinks arent good and neither is coke.i like redbull because theres a sharp and fizzy taste to it but i rarely buy it because its expensive when compared to a normal soda or another energy drink like gatorade.dude people are frying coke now and no one's complaining about it.overall,i never felt like these 'energy' drinks gave me energy unless youre referring to the cafeine in them..that only kept me awake.

I think that the affects of caffiene depend on the person. I can drink 4 red bulls and some coffee and be just fine...one person can drink a cup of cofee and shake all day. Everyone's body is different, justdont abuse it. I try to cut back on caffiene cuz it is psychologically adicting and ur body could become dependent on it...but know what ur limit it and dont abuse it

I drink Red Bull everyday! I love it! I don't think it kills you because it doesnt have much more caffeine than coke or Pepsi. All in all Red Bull is awesome and drink on!

First of all, Red Bull doesn't have that much caffiene. 1 Red Bull = 1 cup of coffee. No more.
