Regular cups of tea can help speed recovery from stress, researchers from University College London (UCL) said on Wednesday. It makes sense that an English University would make such a research, wouldn't it?
But here's the catch, you have to drink black tea 4 times a day! Those people were found to have lower levels of the stress hormone called “cortisol” than a control group who drank a fake tea substitute, the researchers said in a study published in the journal Psychopharmacology.
Tea drinkers also reported a greater feeling of relaxation after performing tasks designed to raise stress levels.
"Although it does not appear to reduce the actual levels of stress we experience, tea does seem to have a greater effect in bringing stress hormone levels back to normal."
But the mystery is that it was not known which ingredients in tea were responsible for the effects found in the study.
Weird!

Uh, wouldnt it just be the point that its nice and warm...and usually warm things bring us comfort like a hug from our mothers or cuddling in a big cushy blanket would...i mean, there MAY be science to it, but sometimes we have to think INSIDE the box instead of outside like everyone thinks we should think...least i think so. Eh, i like tea cuz it tastes good, and its warm, and a nice big cup of green tea is especially good for me~
Much luff
