Stressed or Calm? You Decide!

Weekly reports; meeting with clients; deadlines; demanding and uncompromising boss; piles of documents waiting to be read; telephone calls; car, insurance and telephone bills—okay, you have reasons to be stressed out, but hey, relax!

Don’t you know that YOU are the greatest factor contributing to your stress levels? Yes, you are, so why choose to be bugged by all those things when you can choose to be worry-free? When the going gets tough, try to sit back, take a deep breath and calm down.

We don’t really have to eliminate stress in out lives, but we must know how to manage it. Dr. Richard Earle of Canadian Institute of Stress defines stress as a “mobilized energy.” We need it, he said, as this helps us to do the things that we are supposed to do. The key to doing things right is managing that mobilized energy so that we can have full control over those stressful situations.

A lot of studies have shown that stress can trigger heart ailments, asthma, allergies, sleeping problems, migraine, and digestive disturbances to name a few, so save yourself—choose not to be stressed out!
