A lakefront restaurant in Missouri was abuzz this week when a sleek, purple Carrera speed boat roared in across the water, and the person docking was "Flight" creator and actress Vanna Bonta.

"My daughter knew right off," said one patron, proudly. "She said that's Vanna Bonta. It's pronounced VAHna, you know." It seems the kids, and especially girls, are smitten with her. "It's Vanna Bonta. She's all girl but geek creative."

Other locals admit they've asked to have their pictures taken with the blonde writer, but admit they sometimes just quietly snap their own souvenirs. "We got her coming and going," said one local.
