Sarah Michelle Gellar has officially returned to television with the Tuesday premiere of her new show “Ringer.” This is her first show since “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and that was eight years ago. “Buffy” was a huge hit even from the beginning. Just imagine, it had 4.8million viewers during its launch and got a rating of 2.0.

What about Ringer? Is it at par with Buffy’s ratings? The premiere saw it with 2.84 million viewers in the 18-49 demographic. It got 1.2 rating, the highest that CW network got in three years. The total number of viewers is a far cry from that of Buffy’s obviously. However, the show has just started! It’s still got a long way to go and for people to get caught in the interesting story!
