It’s a sad day for The Doors fans because its founder and keyboard player Ray Manzarek has passed away. Manzarek died on Monday at a clinic in Rosenheim, Germany after years of battling with bile duct cancer. He was 74.

Today’s generation probably doesn’t have that much idea about who Manzarek is but he was one of the most influential persons in rock music. He founded The Doors with his schoolmate Jim Morrison in 1965 and together they made great music. Manzarek made a huge impact to his fans with the rhythmic, slinky, hypnotic and surging sound of his keyboard.

Even though he was taken to the Atlanta Medical Center he could not be revived and was pronounced dead that night.

Auditions for a new bass player are over for famous band Machine Head. The band has an upcoming tour and so they are in need of a new one after Adam Duce was fired in February.

I love Backstreet Boys! I mean who doesn’t? I practically grew up with their music, from the track “I Want It That Way” that started it all in the 90’s and I couldn’t be happier for them now that their fame is firmly cemented in one of the most recognizable attractions in Hollywood.

Backstreet, which is composed of A.J. McLean, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson and Nick Carter are the holder of the 2,495th star on the Walk of Fame. Their families, wives and kids were present to witness this special event in their lives.

Metallica fans in the Middle East will sure have a rocking night tonight because the band will be rocking the UAE once again! The famous rock band composed of James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Rob Trujillo will be playing at the nation’s capital again.

This concert is actually the second one for the band. They performed at the du Arena in Abu Dhabi in 2011. Since it was their first time there, they were quite surprised by the warm reception. British singer Joss Stone can now breathe more easily because the two men who plotted to kill her have been convicted! The suspects, 32-year-old Junior Bradshaw and 35-year-old Kevin Liverpool, were arrested on June 13, 2011 near the star’s home in Devon England. Neighbors called the police on them because of their suspicious movements and badly damaged car.

When police searched them, a samurai sword, knives, hammer, black bags and gloves were found in their possession. Investigations also yielded that the duo planned to kidnap Stone, decapitate her and throw her body into a river. Thankfully, their plot had lots of loopholes and was unsuccessful with their plan.

It’s good to know that Spice Girl Gerri Halliwell draws the line at married men, right? She dumped her boyfriend of four months, Anton Kaszubowski, after she had it confirmed that he was still married.

The two started dating when they were introduced at a party and just that fast the romance developed between them. Anton, who made his millions as an online betting consultant, is still married to Zorayna Ayzenshtat, 33, a Russian model and dancer. They tied the knot in 2010 and it seems that even though they’re separated, hasn’t got around to getting a divorce.

Do any of you still remember Kevin Barnes a.k.a. Chopper Young City? He got his share of fame when he appeared on MTV’s “Making the Band 2.” But his star didn’t shine bright enough or long enough. In fact, he is now in trouble with the law!

According to reports, the 28-year-old landed in jail last March 19 after being arrested after a fight on the Las Vegas Strip. He was taken to jail just after midnight.
