O.J. , who is currently being held in the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas, was charged yesterday ... with a long list ... one count of conspiracy to commit a crime, conspiracy to commit kidnapping, conspiracy to commit robbery, first degree kidnapping with use of a deadly weapon, burglary while in possession of a deadly weapon, robbery with use of a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon and coercion with with use of a deadly weapon. ooof! That's a lot!

With all this list, O.J. might face about 30 years behind bars!

This time, Michelle Ryan is Bionic Woman. Ryan isn't a familiar face for Americans but she is for the British audience. Ryan is a well-known TV star in the UK, where she appeared in the BBC soap EastEnders.

So, there's also Gossip Girl. A series about a group of privileged students at an exclusive Manhattan prep school, who keep up on local gossip from a secretive blogger ... oooh! Gossip Girl stars include 'Quantum Leap' Scott Bakula & a bunch of new, young faces. It premiers on September 19th.

They were together, rumored to get married, they broke up ... then they were rumored to have gotten back together! So, what's the deal with Prince William and Kate Middleton?
The latest in their undercover relationship, is that the pair are enjoying a romantic sun-drenched holiday in the Seychelles on the Indian Ocean.
It seems the couple have decided to discuss their future ... in a calm & out of the way place, where nothing but romance is in the air!

An Awakening Soon ... Hopefully!

After watching two episodes of Masters of Science Fiction, I have a pretty good idea why it was banished to TV Siberia!
If the 1st episode was slightly political, then The Awakening is totally political.
I guess, as part of the media black-out in the states, a few important people don't want the good people of America to watch a bit of serious issues, because although they are masked with a bit of science fiction, the message will get across!
What I could hope for ... what many people around the world are hoping for, is an awakening ... a real awakening to the fact that humans across the world are all the same, they have the same hopes, the same desires & the same fears ... we should all be able to understand each other & not to destroy each other!

The Verdict on Masters of Science Fiction

So ... Masters of Science Fiction debuted yesterday ... what's the verdict?
The first episode 'A Clean Escape' was very interesting & twisty. It wasn't a bit boring & was really fantastically performed. I would give it an 8/10 !
But ... it's a bit strange that a new series debuts on a Saturday night! Who's really going to watch it? What's the expected number of viewers? Logically, not much!
When something like this happens, the series has been put in a place called 'television Siberia' ! Again ... Why would an intriguing show be stashed away like that?

Masters of Science Fiction

ABC Television Network has got itself a new series ... 'Masters of Science Fiction'.
It will debut tonight & all fingers are crossed, ABC is praying the series will be a huge hit.
The show will run for four weeks & is from Starz Media in association with Industry Entertainment and its Vancouver partner, Reunion Picturers.
'Masters of Science Fiction' is a 4-episode series, the debut is entitled 'A Clean Escape', and is about a psych patent who can't recall how he landed at an Army hospital and doesn't know the psychiatrist who's questioning him!

At the concert that Prince William and his brother held Kate sat two rows behind William with her family and it seemed they were really over but the events before and after the party tell a different story. I am a huge Harry Potter fanatic (and I mean HUGE) and I can't wait for the move to hit international cinemas on the 11th of July ... but those lucky people who live in the UK got to see the premiere yesterday in Leicester Square! It seemed the sky was not on Harry Potters side once again as it was pouring during the European debut of the movie! But that didn’t stop thousands of fans from all over the world rushing to get a (wet) autograph from the star-studded cast of the movie! Critics and actors alike agree that the movie is in fact ‘darker’ than all the other ones and according to Daniel Radcliffe himself: ‘It’s a bit scary’!

K Federline Refuses to Sign Divorce Papers!

It seems that Britney Spear’s ex husband and the father of her children, K-Fed, has refused to sign the divorce papers that give him and Britney their freedom. Kevin has said that the reason he refuses to sign the papers is that he is worried about his children Sean Preston, 21 months, and Jayden James, 10 months!

Many claim that Kevin was merely worried about his money and the possibility of having to split it up ... but he clearly and boldly said ‘It's not about the money. It's about her partying.’ It's important to note that Britney started partying in November after her split from her husband and has had many tragedies including shaving her head and being photographed without underwear!

Peter and Jordan Have a Baby!

On the 29th of June at 8.49am Kate Price (aka Jordan) and Peter Andre had a 6lb and 13ounces baby girl at London's Portland Hospital! As usual, Kate and Peter are ecstatic due to the birth of their new child who is to join their other children, five year old Harvey and two year old Junior! Peter has admitted that he is a very protective father and that the baby won’t be going out ‘until she is 64’ and maybe, if she is lucky, she can go out with her ‘girlfriends’ at the age of 30!

Prince William & Kate Middleton Together Again?

They dated for so long & then decided to break-up ... Now they have been spotted out together & they even were spotted kissing!
Prince William & Kate were together at a party at an army barracks where the prince is posted as an army officer.
The prince has also invited Kate to attend the Concert for Diana which will be held next Sunday at London's Wembley Stadium.
It's a pity that they aren't engaged any longer because they seemed to make a nice couple.
Who knows, maybe they'll get back together again & will tie the knot this time!

It's that time of the year again, when Forbes publishes it's world's most powerful celebrities list.
Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey & Golf champ Tiger Woods are the top two!
At number three comes Madonna, then the Rolling Stones at number four.
Last year, Oprah Winfrey came in at number two after actor Tom Cruise! But this year, her 260 million dollars income moved her one step up!
This year, Tiger Woods income of 100 million dollars, claims the second most powerful place with strength!
As for Material Girl Madonna, the third place is hers with 72 million dollars and the Rolling Stones' 88 million dollars got them the fourth place.
Last year, Steven Spielberg was at number three, but this year he went down a few steps and has taken the 10th place.
One year ... In the near future I hope, I will be one of those people ... I don't want to be in the top 10 ... I'd be happy with number 95!

Vernon Winfrey Writes a Book About Oprah, the Daughter!

Oprah Winfrey, the multi billionaire talk show hostess, was ‘stunned’ by the fact that her father Vernon Winfrey was writing a tell all book about her entitled ‘Things Unspoken’. Reportedly the book will give details of her youth but when a newspaper wrote about it Oprah allegedly laughed at the idea and wanted to call them and assure them that they were mistaken. However, it seems that she spoke to her father and he confirmed it and said ‘Imeant to tell you I've been working on it’. As for Oprah’s reaction to this news she says she was ‘upset’ but not ‘devastated’!

Every year ‘American Idol’ junkies sit and wait for the next season and suffer huge ‘American Idol’ withdrawal symptoms on Tuesday nights and every year Fox tries to fill that gap. Fox have made many failed attempts at filing the American Idol slot with programs such as ‘The Swan’ and ‘Nanny 911’ and whilst a few did alright nothing could compare to ‘American Idol’ ratings. The result? Fox are getting smart and making a show that when plainly described is an American Idol ‘wannabe’ and it goes by the name of ‘The Search for the Next Great American Band’ (which is quite the mouthful).

This sale comes second in auto auctions and is preceded by a car owned by the Bugatti family that was sold for a mere $11million in 1987! Schneider told reporters: "It just proves that when you clean out your garage, be very, very careful about what you throw away!" Ya because someone is going to throw away ‘General Lee’, which is the name given to the car, when they can sell it to some man who doesn’t know what to do with his money!

Who was Larry Birkhead's lawyer as well, was by Pamela’s side as she made some astounding accusations. Heather Mills Voted Off Dancing with the Stars

After surviving for six weeks on Dancing with the Stars, Heather Mills was voted off the show ... She & her dance partner Jonathan Roberts were ranked fifth out of the seven remaining pairs by the judges. But it was the public voting that worked against them.
Mills said she wasn't surprised to leave, she said: "We knew we were going out. We were in the bottom two last week."
Mills joined the contest to show people it was possible to overcome a disability and raise money for charity ... She managed to raise a lot of money for vegetarian charity "Viva!".
Well, that's a good thing ... she danced, enjoyed being on the show & did good all at the same time!

Rumor has it that the stars of the upcoming movie 'Hairspray', which is an adaptation of a Broadway play, are going to make a guest appearance on 'Dancing with the Stars'. This would be extremely relevant, because 'Hairspray' tells the story of an overweight Tracy Turnblad, played by John Travolta, trying to land a spot on a similar dancing show.

It was believed that Prince William & his girlfriend of five years Kate Middleton were the perfect match & that they would be the stars of the next Royal wedding! I guess all that went down the tube now that the two have decided to split up.
Prince William & Kate have reached an amicable agreement to separate, according to a spokesman at the prince's office.
It seems this was a relsult of the two being kept apart because of work & Prince William's armored corps commander course he's been taking.

Liz Hurley & Arun Nayar Insulted Hindu Traditions

It's been a month now since Liz Hurley & Arun Nayar tied the knot in an English Castle then traveled to Jodhpur in India for a showcase marriage!
What they have done seems to have insulted Hindu traditions to the extent that the two might be prosecuted & risk jail!
The couple's lavish ceremony at a Rajasthan fort was exclusively covered by magazine Hello!, which reportedly paid $3.9 million for the rights.
But, one devout Hindu wants the two to be punished for the sham they made of the traditions.
He says that it was horrid that they had taken alcohol prior to the religious rites and kissed near the sacred fire that Hindus hold to be the witness to the marriage.

Guess what! JK Rowling is suing eBay!
According to her, eBay offered & sold unauthorized electronic versions of her 'Harry Potter' books.
Rowling will go to court to sue for breach of copyright after sellers used the Indian version of the website to sell versions of her books in electronic form.
In 2004, Rowling, along with Warner Bros., successfully obtained an injunction which strictly prohibits eBay from selling illegal copies of her work.
If she wins, i wonder how much cash she'll get!

About 1000 items from CBS Paramount Television Studios, from 40 years of the Star Trek sci-fi franchise, used in five Star Trek TV shows & 10 movies have been put on offer through Christie's & have easily found enthusiastic buyers from around the world.
The auction was streamed live on The History Channel's website, and the channel filmed the event in its entirety for a later documentary.
Director of special collections for Christie's, Cathie Elkies said: Never has a collection of this scope and depth come to the auction market, nor will it ever again.

LAPD Sgt. Ken Buscarino says: DeGeneres had a little neck and back pain, but it doesn't look like it was anything serious, De Rossi complained of back pain & the men in the Buick suffered scratches.

A huge fire burned down 40 acres of Michael Jackson's famous Neverland Ranch yesterday.
None of the main buildings got damaged, but 40 acres of green land got scorched! Luckily, none of the animals in the ranch got hurt.
It seems the fire started when a close by mobile home caught on fire & thus the flames spread through the dried grass & eventually reached the ranch!
Water-dropping helicopters and over 100 firefighters fought to restrict the area and stop the fire from spreading and eventually have it extinguished.

Last year at Hollywood Confidential we spent a lot of time discussing what a lousy year Hollywood was having at the box-office. 2006 hasn't been much better, and now the chickens are coming home to roost.

The LA Times published an article this week, "As Layoffs Sweep Movie Studios, Hollywood Fears for Its Future," in the wake of Disney laying off 20 percent of its workforce, about how the Hollywood economy is tanking.

It's a long article that runs counter to the endlessly misleading boosterism we've all been getting from the entertainment press with respect to Hollywood's finances. And even the LA Times article begins with the line: "Never mind that movie ticket sales are picking up and that 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest' could become the biggest hit in motion picture history."

The set posing as Venice for the upcoming Bond movie 'Casino Royale' was burned to the ground yesterday!
According to the BBC's report, the fire was so extensive, it cause the roof of the stage to completely collapse, destroying everything inside.
Filming in that set was finished a few days back but there was no intention of dismantling it at all!
The cause of the Casino Royale set blaze is still unknown.

The Hilton heiress plans to renovate two existing buildings to open the "Nicky O" on Miami's famed Ocean Boulevard in November.

She also plans to open a second "Nicky O" in Chicago's historic Printer’s Row.

We all already heard the rumor that Star Jones is going to leave The View, but the latest on this is a bit shocking!
Star Jones announced yesterday that she is in fact going to leave the famous talk show, but the thing is her contract wasn't renewed & it seems the producers want her to leave, because according to many sources they told her -yesterday- not to come back! Could it be that she got fired ?
Star says: What you don't know is that my contract was not renewed for the tenth season, I feel like I was fired.

Jolie-Pitts Good Cop-Bad Cop?

The news from Namibia is that Hollywood couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's chief bodyguard, Irish-born Mickey Brett is up for legal action there, on charges of assaulting the owner of a local restaurant.
According to accuser Theuns Duvenhage's lawyer, Piet Burger, bodyguard Brett will be summoned before a Namibian court for allegedly beating up Duvenhage and damaging his eye.

AFP reported that in his complaint, Duvenhage says he was shooed off from an area where the Hollywood stars were present by the bodyguards but admitted making an "offending sign" before driving off.
Duvenhage, who is claiming 60,000 Namibian dollars (8,912 dollars/ 7,057 euros) in damages, says Brett gave chase, forced his car off the road and then hit, kicked and punched him.

Ashley played it low-key declining interviews as she and racer husband Dario headed for their motor home after the race.

Knight Rider is Back !

David Hasselhoff's famous 80's TV series Knight Rider is going to hit the big screen!
The Weinstein Company, recently established by the Weinstein brothers who founded the successful Miramax, has picked up the project which is due for production next year.
It is still not known whether David Hasselhoff would appear in the movie, or whether William Daniels would return as the dry voice of the car!
Knight Rider ran from 1982 to 1986, focused on police detective Michael Long, shot and left to die but nursed back to health by a millionaire. He gets a new face, a new name (Michael Knight) and KITT (Knight Industries Two Thousand), a talking car fitted with artificial intelligence.

Is Star Jones Going to Quit The View ?

It was just a few months ago that we all heard the news that Meredith Vieira from The View was going to move to CBS news and was going to leave the famous talk show. As for her replacement, turns out that actress Rosie O'Donnell is the one, and will be joining the show in September.
What do you think was Star Jones' reaction to that? She was overheard saying to a friend: "I feel like the producers are trying to make me quit!" And that's why she is expected to leave the show around September. Or will she ?!

What else should we call it! Just a year or two ago, having a full body was fashionable, but it seems now being so skinny to the bone is more like the new thing! But is that the best example? Teens are looking up to teen idols like Lindsay Lohan, which was at a healthy 144 pounds but now has gone to a freaky 98 pounds! And Nicole Richie? Just the same!
It seems like when some stars want to lose weight and reach their goal weight they look in the mirror and say: "oh, I look better and I'm getting more media attention." That's why they continue dieting until they look .. Well .. let's just say not so pretty!

David Copperfield Robbed At Gunpoint

David Copperfield, the most famous magician in the world, was robbed at gunpoint by two teenage boys after his performance at the Kravis Center on Sunday night.
Copperfield & his two assistants were walking to their tour bus near CityCenter at approximately 11:15 pm after having dinner, when they were approached.
"I had a gun pointed at my head from 6 inches away," Copperfield said Tuesday,"I'm pretty good under pressure. That's my job. But I had two young ladies with me."
