50 Cent Cancels European Tour

The thing between 50 Cent & Kanye West isn't going to end soon!
Album sales have really taken their toll on 50 Cent!
Now that West's album has outsold 50's 'Curtis', 50 has canceled his European tour & has released the following statement:
"50 Cent is very sad to confirm that due to a last-minute, unforeseen and unanticipated change in his schedule, he will have to postpone his European promotional trip scheduled to take place from September 18 to 25."
oops! I guess his big mouth has gotten him into trouble!
He should find a way to patch things up or things will become just as he said they would; he'll no longer write music. He'll work with his other artists, but he won't put out anymore solo albums."

Kanye West vs. 50 Cent

It's going to be a Showdown between Kanye West & 50 Cent starting yesterday!
Both Hip Hop stars released their new albums yesterday; West's entitled "Graduation" & 50 Cent's entitled "Curtis".
Why is it a Showdown? Because a couple of weeks ago, 50 Cent said that if Kanye outsold him, he’d retire !!!
But, although West's album is supposed to appeal to a wider range of listeners around the world, because it's a new step into a mix of genres, the new album seems to be all about him! He's so big & 'full of himself' that it seems like he's going to trip over his own ego!!!

Luciano Pavarotti Passes Away at 71

Opera lovers around the world are mourning the loss of one of the greatest tenors of all time ... one of the greatest masters of Opera ... Luciano Pavarotti.
Pavarotti struggled with cancer for some time now, but surrendered to the illness & passed away into the realm of spirits at the early hours of this morning.
With great sadness, Pavarotti's manager released the following statement:
"The great tenor, Luciano Pavarotti, died today at 5:00 a.m. at his home in Modena, the city of his birth.
At his side were his wife, Nicoletta; his daughters, Lorenza, Cristina, Giuliana and Alice; his sister, Gabriela; his nephews and close relatives and friends."

This time, Australia has rejected the notorious rapper's visa application. The reasons are obvious!
Australian Immigration Minister said: "He doesn't seem the sort of bloke we want in this country. He has a whole string of convictions, and just two weeks ago he was convicted of a number of charges again."
Australia's known for its strict immigration and visa requirements where criminal history is taken into account.

Russell Simmons: Keep Rap Clean!

Hip Hop mogul Russell Simmons, of Def Jam records, is calling out to the music industry to keep rap clean!
Simmons is asking to put a ban on words like 'b***h', 'ho' & 'ni***r'.
He is asking that all extreme curse words be cut from 'clean' versions used for broadcasting.
Simmons said in a statement: "We recommend they're always out. This is a first step. It's a clear message and a consistency that we want the industry to accept for more corporate social responsibility. Our discussions are about the corporate social responsibility of the industry to voluntarily show respect to African-Americans and other people of color, African-American women and to all women in lyrics and images."

Remember last year, when Snoop Dogg was arrested a couple of times ... well, the 35-year-old rap star has gotten charged with two felony counts of transporting marijuana & possession of a firearm by a felon. How lucky can Snoop Dogg be?
This is no joke, because Dogg could be looking at serious jail time, including up to four years behind bars!
Why are this conviction so serious for dogg? Because he's a felon; he was convicted in 1990 for cocaine possession & pleaded guilty to illegal gun possession in 1993. You'd think he would learn his lesson, no?

It's about over ... By April 24th, Whitney Houston & Bobby Brown's marriage will officially end.
The most important accomplishment for Houston from this divorce is gaining custody of her teenage daughter. Metallica to Rock Wembley Stadium in July

Wembley Stadium recently reopened its doors after a huge reconstruction project & acts from around the world are scheduled to take the stage soon. The first will be Pop icon George Michael whose performance is planned for June 9th & 10th.
Metal band Metallica will be the first American rock act to play at the new stadium.
They have announced that their performance is scheduled for July 8th.

The Godfather of Soul was laid to rest in a gold coffin, in a crypt in South Carolina where one of his daughters lives.
At the burial ceremony, his children, close friends & family members were present.

The latest celebrity to enter rehab is British singer Robbie Williams.
His spokeswoman said in a statement: "Robbie Williams has today been admitted into a treatment center in America for his dependency on prescription drugs."
I was surprised when i first read this, but it seems this isn't the first time Robbie is in need of such help! In 1997 he checked into Clouds House Drink and Drugs Rehabilitation Clinic in Salisbury in England, for alcohol & drug addiction. & in October 2006 he was treated at London's The Priory for depression.

Two other comebacks were also rewarded. Mary J. Blige received three awards for her double-platinum album 'The Breakthrough' and the Red Hot Chili Peppers also won three awards for their album 'Stadium Arcadium.'

The British Embassy in Dublin issued a statement on Saturday: "The British Embassy in Dublin takes great pleasure in announcing that Her Majesty The Queen has appointed Bono to be an honorary Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in recognition of his services to the music industry and for his humanitarian work."
The British Ambassador in Ireland will give Bono an "insignia of this honorary award" in a ceremony after New Year's Eve.

Eminem & Kim Mathers Divorce Again!

Oops! They did it again! Eminem & wife Kim Mathers have finalized their divorce yesterday in a court hearing in Michigan.
The couple got married for the second time on January 14th, & Eminem filed for divorce on April 5th!
Eminem & Kim have a daughter, Hailie Jade Scott, from their first marriage, & the details regarding custody of Hailie was withheld from public view. But it has been reported that they most probably will share custody of Hailie.
The couple also answered with a big 'No' to the judge's question of wether they thought there could be a chance for reconciliation.
The Judge, Antonio P Viviano, said the couple "conducted themselves with dignity and respect... All in all, they were a very fine couple to deal with".

The Police say they seized a handgun & some drugs after a search of Snoop Dogg's car & home. The booked him & set the bail at $60.000.
Of coarse, Dogg's attorney says he is innocent of all charges.

Genesis is coming back in 2007

Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford & Tony Banks of Genesis have announced that they're going to hit the road in 2007 for an international tour!
The "Turn It On Again" tour will take Genesis to large stadiums in Scandinavia, across continental Europe and in Britain. It kicks off at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki on June 11 and ends in Rome on July 14.
They also plan to extend the tour to the United States with 20 dates in September.
Phil Collins told reporters they were not in it for the money, & did not have to worry about where "the next million or two" was coming from.
Genesis are not the only group planning such a tour, they are joined by the Rolling Stones, Duran Duran & Queen.

Smith checked in Monday & according to her attorney Wayne Munroe, she has had fluid drained from a partially collapsed lung.

Prince has announced that he's going to open a nightclub, which will be able to hold about 1,500 people, in Las Vegas at the Rio Hotel & Casino.
3121 will be the name of the hot spot, -3121 is the name of Prince's latest album- & will occupy around 30,000-square-feet formerly occupied by Club Rio, which was hosting the topless revue Club Eroticka.

The pair are getting ready to star together in a new police thriller called New Orleans.
The story of the movie goes like this: a cop thinks his partner has died in Hurricane Katrina, only to discover that he was shot & killed. When he gets a new partner, the pair investigates the murder, taking them on a journey into a world of police corruption!
De Niro will star in the lead role & 50 Cent is expected to play the new partner.
Filming will start next February in New Orleans.
