50 Cent Cancels European Tour

The thing between 50 Cent & Kanye West isn't going to end soon!
Album sales have really taken their toll on 50 Cent!
Now that West's album has outsold 50's 'Curtis', 50 has canceled his European tour & has released the following statement:
"50 Cent is very sad to confirm that due to a last-minute, unforeseen and unanticipated change in his schedule, he will have to postpone his European promotional trip scheduled to take place from September 18 to 25."
oops! I guess his big mouth has gotten him into trouble!
He should find a way to patch things up or things will become just as he said they would; he'll no longer write music. He'll work with his other artists, but he won't put out anymore solo albums."

Kanye West vs. 50 Cent

It's going to be a Showdown between Kanye West & 50 Cent starting yesterday!
Both Hip Hop stars released their new albums yesterday; West's entitled "Graduation" & 50 Cent's entitled "Curtis".
Why is it a Showdown? Because a couple of weeks ago, 50 Cent said that if Kanye outsold him, he’d retire !!!
But, although West's album is supposed to appeal to a wider range of listeners around the world, because it's a new step into a mix of genres, the new album seems to be all about him! He's so big & 'full of himself' that it seems like he's going to trip over his own ego!!!

Luciano Pavarotti Passes Away at 71

Opera lovers around the world are mourning the loss of one of the greatest tenors of all time ... one of the greatest masters of Opera ... Luciano Pavarotti.
Pavarotti struggled with cancer for some time now, but surrendered to the illness & passed away into the realm of spirits at the early hours of this morning.
With great sadness, Pavarotti's manager released the following statement:
"The great tenor, Luciano Pavarotti, died today at 5:00 a.m. at his home in Modena, the city of his birth.
At his side were his wife, Nicoletta; his daughters, Lorenza, Cristina, Giuliana and Alice; his sister, Gabriela; his nephews and close relatives and friends."

This time, Australia has rejected the notorious rapper's visa application. The reasons are obvious!
Australian Immigration Minister said: "He doesn't seem the sort of bloke we want in this country. He has a whole string of convictions, and just two weeks ago he was convicted of a number of charges again."
Australia's known for its strict immigration and visa requirements where criminal history is taken into account.

Russell Simmons: Keep Rap Clean!

Hip Hop mogul Russell Simmons, of Def Jam records, is calling out to the music industry to keep rap clean!
Simmons is asking to put a ban on words like 'b***h', 'ho' & 'ni***r'.
He is asking that all extreme curse words be cut from 'clean' versions used for broadcasting.
Simmons said in a statement: "We recommend they're always out. This is a first step. It's a clear message and a consistency that we want the industry to accept for more corporate social responsibility. Our discussions are about the corporate social responsibility of the industry to voluntarily show respect to African-Americans and other people of color, African-American women and to all women in lyrics and images."

Remember last year, when Snoop Dogg was arrested a couple of times ... well, the 35-year-old rap star has gotten charged with two felony counts of transporting marijuana & possession of a firearm by a felon. How lucky can Snoop Dogg be?
This is no joke, because Dogg could be looking at serious jail time, including up to four years behind bars!
Why are this conviction so serious for dogg? Because he's a felon; he was convicted in 1990 for cocaine possession & pleaded guilty to illegal gun possession in 1993. You'd think he would learn his lesson, no?

It's about over ... By April 24th, Whitney Houston & Bobby Brown's marriage will officially end.
The most important accomplishment for Houston from this divorce is gaining custody of her teenage daughter. Metallica to Rock Wembley Stadium in July

Wembley Stadium recently reopened its doors after a huge reconstruction project & acts from around the world are scheduled to take the stage soon. The first will be Pop icon George Michael whose performance is planned for June 9th & 10th.
Metal band Metallica will be the first American rock act to play at the new stadium.
They have announced that their performance is scheduled for July 8th.

The Godfather of Soul was laid to rest in a gold coffin, in a crypt in South Carolina where one of his daughters lives.
At the burial ceremony, his children, close friends & family members were present.

The latest celebrity to enter rehab is British singer Robbie Williams.
His spokeswoman said in a statement: "Robbie Williams has today been admitted into a treatment center in America for his dependency on prescription drugs."
I was surprised when i first read this, but it seems this isn't the first time Robbie is in need of such help! In 1997 he checked into Clouds House Drink and Drugs Rehabilitation Clinic in Salisbury in England, for alcohol & drug addiction. & in October 2006 he was treated at London's The Priory for depression.

Two other comebacks were also rewarded. Mary J. Blige received three awards for her double-platinum album 'The Breakthrough' and the Red Hot Chili Peppers also won three awards for their album 'Stadium Arcadium.'

The British Embassy in Dublin issued a statement on Saturday: "The British Embassy in Dublin takes great pleasure in announcing that Her Majesty The Queen has appointed Bono to be an honorary Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in recognition of his services to the music industry and for his humanitarian work."
The British Ambassador in Ireland will give Bono an "insignia of this honorary award" in a ceremony after New Year's Eve.

Eminem & Kim Mathers Divorce Again!

Oops! They did it again! Eminem & wife Kim Mathers have finalized their divorce yesterday in a court hearing in Michigan.
The couple got married for the second time on January 14th, & Eminem filed for divorce on April 5th!
Eminem & Kim have a daughter, Hailie Jade Scott, from their first marriage, & the details regarding custody of Hailie was withheld from public view. But it has been reported that they most probably will share custody of Hailie.
The couple also answered with a big 'No' to the judge's question of wether they thought there could be a chance for reconciliation.
The Judge, Antonio P Viviano, said the couple "conducted themselves with dignity and respect... All in all, they were a very fine couple to deal with".

The Police say they seized a handgun & some drugs after a search of Snoop Dogg's car & home. The booked him & set the bail at $60.000.
Of coarse, Dogg's attorney says he is innocent of all charges.

Genesis is coming back in 2007

Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford & Tony Banks of Genesis have announced that they're going to hit the road in 2007 for an international tour!
The "Turn It On Again" tour will take Genesis to large stadiums in Scandinavia, across continental Europe and in Britain. It kicks off at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki on June 11 and ends in Rome on July 14.
They also plan to extend the tour to the United States with 20 dates in September.
Phil Collins told reporters they were not in it for the money, & did not have to worry about where "the next million or two" was coming from.
Genesis are not the only group planning such a tour, they are joined by the Rolling Stones, Duran Duran & Queen.

Smith checked in Monday & according to her attorney Wayne Munroe, she has had fluid drained from a partially collapsed lung.

Snoop has been released on bail for $35000 & is due to appear in court on December 12th.
Just days before, Snoop was stopped at airport security for carrying a dangerous weapon!

The first time was in 1998 for both drug & alcohol abuse, but this time it’s only alcohol & his new wife Nicole Kidman was by his side as he checked himself into the rehab clinic.
Urban says in a statement: I deeply regret the hurt this has caused Nicole & the ones that love & support me. One can never let one's guard down on recovery & I'm afraid that I have. But I am determined & resolved to a positive outcome.

Whitney Houston Files for Divorce

Whitney Houston’s publicist Nancy Seltzer confirmed this week that Whitney has indeed filed for divorce from Bobby Brown this week in Southern California's Orange County Superior Court.
Last month, Whitney finally took a bold move by filing for separation from Brown. Now, it’s the real deal.
Houston has also asked for custody of 13-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, & that Brown be allowed visitation rights.
It seems in the past year, Houston’s marriage to Brown has spun out of control! A relative tells PEOPLE that the couple fought like cats and dogs. They would fight about what to eat for dinner, about who wasn't cleaning out the dishwasher. Stupid things. But they were always yelling.

Dave Stewart's Platinum Weird Album

Dave Stewart's previously unreleased 1974 Platinum Weird album "Make Believe" will now be released on Monday 30th October instead of Monday 16th October. The new release date coincides with Dave forthcoming interview on the music TV show "Later With Jools Holland" (BBC2) on Friday 3rd November.

"Make Believe" will be released in the UK as a special limited edition album for a limited period of time only. The album is destined to become a collectors item, because after the initial print run, it will be deleted, and will make way for the brand new album "Platinum Weird" which features new female vocalist Kara DioGaurdi, released worldwide in early 2007.

Dave Stewart to Release Rare 1974 Album

Dave stwerat was best known for being the male half of the Eurythmics, but he was also a guitarist with many famous singers like Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger & Sinead O'Connor.
But before all that Stewart formed the the rock band Platinum Weird in 1973 and was signed to Elton John's Rocket Records label.
But in '74, just before their album was released, lead singer, Erin Grace, disappeared.
So, now Dave Stewart has decided to release Platinum Weird's previously unavailable classic '74 album "Make Believe".
"Make Believe" is going to be released via Interscope in the U.S. on October 10th, and in the UK on the Weapons of Mass Entertainment label via Universal on October 16th.

Keith Urban Wants Two Kids

In Keith Urban’s new album, he has a song called “Once in a life time” & it seems as if it’s talking to his new bride Nicole Kidman.
Now the words to this song seem to have raised a lot of speculation to whether Nicole is pregnant or to whether the couple is planning for a baby!
It also gives away a notion that Keith would like to have not one, but two kids with Nicole!
The song says:

Barry Manilow Cancels Concerts

63-year-old Barry Manilow canceled three appearances scheduled for this weekend in Las Vegas.
Manilow is due to undergo surgery to repair torn cartilage in both hips, caused by the continuous dancing & moving during his concerts for years.
His publicist said in a statement: His condition has gotten more serious by his high energy performances.
The Copacabana singer will perform only once at the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on 27 August, before having surgery in California at the end of the month.

It seems Madonna is on the same tracks as Oprah, Angelina Jolie & Bono.
Why do I say this? Well, because she plans to donate $1 million to healthcare and education projects in Malawi, and use her profile to raise a further $3 million for the cause.
The book, The End Of Poverty, triggered Madonna to call up its author & devise a plan to help impoverished people in Africa.
Madonna says: For the last few years - now that I have children and now that I have what I consider to be a better perspective on life - I have felt responsible for the children of the world. We're put on this Earth to help people, and your job is to figure out how you can help, and what it is that you can do.
Kabbalah might also have been a driving force for the mega super star.

After last weeks' scandalous London park incident, when George Michael was caught doing "something" with a strange man in the bushes, his partner Kenny Goss has called off their wedding!
The couple were supposed to celebrate their 10 year relationship by throwing a lavish wedding ceremony!
Although Michael denied anything happened, Goss wants to reassess their relationship.
A source close to the couple said: 'They are reassessing their relationship at the moment so there are no immediate plans.'

Destiny's Child Kelly Rowland has announced that she is expecting a baby soon.

According to her father-in-law, Madonna is planning to adopt a child.
John Ritchie revealed that Madonna & director husband Guy Ritchie are considering expanding their family.

Rumor has it that Rapper Nelly is the father of this baby.

Simple Minds: UK Summer Concerts

The famous Scottish New Wave/rock band Simple Minds which has had great worldwide popularity since the mid-1980s is heading to the UK to perform four outdoor summer concerts in July and August.
The band, who recently headlined the World Cup launch in Berlin on June 7th,
originally started their 'Black & White 050505' World Tour in Dublin on January 30th. They've already toured Europe, Russia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and played their first Australian tour in 15 years to sold-out venues and rave reviews.

The band are set to perform the following UK summer shows:
- Sat July 22: Audley End House / Saffron Walden, Essex
- Sun July 23: Orange Ashton Court Festival, Bristol
- Mon July 24: Dock Rock, ExCel Centre / Docklands, London

The ceremony was held in a private estate with the attendance of some 110 guests.
Avril wore a Vera Wang & walked down the aisle with her father John, while carrying a bouquet of white roses.
After exchanging vows & kissing, the couple ran down the aisle & they danced their first dance as husband & wife to the tunes of The Goo Goo Dolls.

Rossdale then took the elevator to the maternity ward. “Gwen was wearing her signature red lipstick and looked so excited,” the onlooker added.
Gwen Stefani gave birth to a baby boy shortly before 1 p.m. on Friday via C-section.

Madonna kicked off her Confessions tour, her first in two years, yesterday at The Forum in Los Angeles.
This tour will keep Madonna on the road for two months in North America, and then resume on July 30 in Wales for a five-week stadium swing through eight European cities. Shows in Japan are also on tap for mid-September.

The latest in star splits is Sir Paul McCartney & wife Heather Mills.
McCartney and his wife of four years, former model and anti-landmine advocate are separating.

Remember former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell? Well, she introduced a new tiny spice girl into the world today! She gave birth to her baby daughter, which is rumored to be named Victoria, at London's Portland Hospital.
A hospital statement said simply: “The birth went well. Mother and daughter are doing fine.”
34-year-old Geri became pregnant during a six-week fling with Hollywood scriptwriter Sacha Gervasi last year. He was nowhere to be seen at the time of the birth, but he vowed to give mother and baby “all the support they need.”
Geri has apparently asked the other Spice Girls Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton, along with Victoria Beckham, to be godparents at the baby’s christening.

Colombian singer Shakira had the time of her life at the annual Latin Billboard Music Awards in Hollywood, Florida on Thursday.
She went away with six prizes; her album Oral Fixation Vol. 1 was named best female Latin pop album of the year, with the album's top song, a duet with Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz called The Torture, taking four other awards, including hot Latin song of the year.
Shakira, 29, also received the Spirit of Hope award, in recognition of her work to improve living conditions for Colombian children.

The reports are that Spears is already 5 months pregnant with a second baby, just 7 months after the birth of her first baby Sean Preston!
The magazine says that Britney was seen by the pool at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas last weekend, sporting a red bikini and a serious bump.

The new album entitled 20 Year Old, which is the first in two years, was set for release in April, but it seems it will be postponed until the coming fall.
The album is being produced by Jimmy “Jam” Harris and Terry Lewis and Jackson’s boyfriend Jermaine Dupri.

New Album for Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson is back to work after a few years of being away from the music.
Jackson, who has been living in Bahrain for some time now, is working on a new album which is supposed to be released next year.
Because Jackson's deal with Epic recently expired, he will be working with a record label based in the Gulf state of Bahrain.
This new album will be the first new album for Michael Jackson since the 2001 album Invincible.
The 47-year-old said he is "incredibly excited" about the new project.

Bruce Springsteen is Back

Bruce Springsteen is going to hit the road with a huge US tour which follows a Europe tour, in support for his newest & biggest album project to date; We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions.
This album has been in the works since 1998, and is inspired by another musical legend, folk singer Pete Seeger.
The album will feature folk and old time instrument work with a lot of horns and a big chorus sound, also billed as an evening with folk, gospel and blues. And for that The Boss has assembled a 17 member group, named the Seeger Sessions Band.
The Seeger Sessions is set for release on April 25th and marks Bruce Springsteen's 24th album release.

George Michael Arrested on Drug Charges

British singer George Michael, 42, was arrested a few days ago on suspicion of possessing drugs after he was found slumped in a car in central London, near Hyde Park.
He was checked by the paramedics but did not need hospital treatment.
This is not the first time George Michael has found himself on the wrong side of the law. In 1998 the former Wham! star was arrested for lewd conduct in a public toilet in L.A. after being spotted by an undercover police officer.
The incident led him to reveal he was gay.

2005 has been a very good year to Mariah Carey; she has scored her 17th No. 1 hit this week with her song Don't Forget About Us.
Diva Mariah is now tied at second place with the King of Rock n' Roll Elvis Presley among artists with the most No. 1 hits.
Carey also becomes the only artist to post two No. 1 songs on the Hot 100 in 2005. Carey also received eight Grammy nominations this year, including album of the year for her newest album The Emancipation of Mimi.

Pink Gets Married on New Year's Eve

Pop star Pink is to going to marry her long term boyfriend biker Carey Hart on New Year's Eve, according to In Touch magazine.
They will have a lavish ceremony in Costa Rica.
It was Pink who proposed to Carey this summer in California.
The couple met at the 2001 X Games and it will be the first marriage for both.

Elton John Gets Married Today

Elton John and long-term partner David Furnish will tie the knot today Wednesday, joining hundreds of gay couples taking advantage of a new law in England to formalise their relationships.

The celebrity couple will get married at a simple civil partnership ceremony in the royal town of Windsor, in the same building where Prince Charles married Camilla Parker Bowles last April.

Prince to Release New Album

Prince is set to release a new album which will be entitled 3121, and follows the 2004's album Musicology.
The single to precede 3121 is going to be Te Amo Corazon, with a video directed by no other than Hollywood actress Salma Hayek.
The singer is to promote the album during 2006, via a tour.
Starting December 13, the video will be available for download from Prince's site – NPG Music Club, according to “Billboard”. The same day, a press conference will be held in Los Angeles, offering more details to fans.

Destiny's Child Won at AMA

The trio members of Destiny's Child girl group, which gave their last performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this month and close the chapter of their highly successful career, won the American Music Award for Favorite Band, Duo or Group in the Soul/R&B category, as well as Best Album for their final record, Destiny Fulfilled.

Unfortunately, one member of the trio of Destiny's Child only, Kelly Rowland, was there in person to accept the award.

Pop singer Christina Aguilera and her boyfriend, music executive Jordan Bratman got married in a ceremony Saturday at Staglin Family Vineyard in northern California's Napa Valley's Auberge Du Soleil resort, Us Weekly reported on its Web site

Aguilera wore a Christian Lacroix dress and the pair were exchanged wedding bands designed by London-based jeweler Stephen Webster, who also created the singer's five-carat diamond sparkler; while the the bridesmaids wore dresses designed by Kai Milla, Stevie Wonder's wife.

Mac Dre Killed in Kansas City

Rapper Mac Dre, whose real name is Andre Hicks, was gunned down on early Monday (November 1) in Kansas City, Missouri, while riding in a van on the highway.

An unknown suspect fired through the vehicle on U.S. 71, a four-lane highway running through the middle of town. Though the driver crawled to safety, Mac Dre was thrown from the van and pronounced dead at the scene. Kansas City police reported late Tuesday that Dre died from a bullet wound. He was 34.

R. Kelly's is suing Jay-Z in a $75 million lawsuit after Jay-Z banned R. Kelly from the Best of Both Worlds tour.
