There’s yet another marriage down the drain. Rock star Avril Lavigne has finally filed for a divorce from her also-rocker husband Deryck Whibley. After three years of marriage, the two decided that they don’t want to have a happy ending together. Avril filed the papers in a Los Angeles court on the grounds of irreconcilable differences. Stated also in the divorce papers, is Avril’s request for the court to deny Deryck Whibley of spousal support.

It's been a while since we've heard news about Avril Lavigne.
Where in the world is she and what's she been up to?

From the various Avril Lavigne concert videos I’ve seen online, I can’t say that I have any complaints. I’m sure you’ll agree with me in saying that her concerts and her performances are good. However, the Malaysian opposition Islamic party Parti Islam SeMalaysia (PAS) is of another opinion. They are asking the Malaysian government to ban Avril Lavigne’s concert in Malaysia. The Canadian pop singer is scheduled to have her concert at the Stadium Merdeka on August 29 as part of her world tour.

Avril Lavigne has never canceled a show, but this time she has to whether she likes it or not!
Avril has a very bad case of the flu and have even lost her voice because of Laryngitis!
Her shows in both San Diego and Phoenix have been canceled according to doctor's orders.
Avril wrote a message to her fans on her blog on Thursday, she wrote:
"I have been sick this whole tour, and now I have lost my voice. I have never canceled a show in my whole career and just had to for the first time ever. This sux!"
She reveals that she's gotten the flu 3 times already: "I have had the flu 3 times and I never get sick, it just keeps going around. I think I am just run down."

Oh! You gotta be kidding me!
It seems it's pregnant celebrity day today!
The latest celeb to get herself tangled in a pregnancy rumor is Canadian singer Avril Lavigne.
Rumor has it that Avril is about six weeks pregnant and that Deryck Whibley has been telling all his friends that he's excited to become a father.
Although it could be possible ... i highly doubt it! Avril is too young to get pregnant ... but when i come to think of it, age didn't stop Lynn spears from getting preggers!
It's just a matter of time ... we'll either start seeing Avril bloated or she'll release an official statement!

I'm not sure what to say ... but here it goes ... Although Avril Lavigne did her best to 'not' look her usual skater-girl self at the AMA's on Sunday, she didn't choose the right thing that would make her look different in a good way!
She did opt for a glamified look and chose a strapless bronze satin dress ( which isn't flattering at all ) ... and the wrong pair of shoes to go with it!
Her pink strand isn't matching her look and that is definitely a red carpet fashion disaster to me!
I guess if she stuck to her punk/rock/girlie look, it would have been much better!

Today two blondies celebrate their b-day, Hollywood star and Oscar winner, Gwyneth Paltrow and Punk Rocker Avril Lavigne.
Gwyneth turns 35, while Avril is tiny 23! Happy birthday gals!
Gwyn has three movies coming soon, The Good Night, Dirty Tricks and Iron Man.
As for Avril, she's going to be the main attraction at a Unite Against AIDS concert in Montreal on November 28th. Avril and other performers will do their 'thing' to the benefit of UNICEF's Unite for Children, Unite Against AIDS campaign.

Last Monday was the finale of Canadian Idol in Toronto, and who better to perform at such a show, but Canadian pop-punk-rocker Avril Lavigne!
Avril showed up in a red & white top, matched with a black skirt & donned her candy-like pink microphone. Her hair was in pink strands & her nails were blue!
She performed her hit single 'When You’re Gone', then she debuted her newest single 'Hot'.
But after her performance, she went missing! It seems she split after doing her part!
As for the winner of Canadian Idol, a rocker by the name of Brian Melo from Hamilton won. Congrats!

Avril Lavigne rocked Shanghai on Wednesday as she started her Chinese mainland concerts.
Avril kicked-off the concert with her new hit single "Girl Friend". Her Chinese fans went mad & that's what makes a concert a success!
It was rumored the Avril was going to sing a Mandarin version of the song ... just a rumor!
Her second Chinese concert will be held in Hong Kong tonight!

Avril Lavigne's new song 'Girlfriend' is a hit ... we all like it ... but it seems some people are really angry about it & are going to sue Avril ... they say, she stole their song!
It goes like this, Avril is being sued by a Seventies songwriting team who say her song 'Girlfriend' is just like one they wrote years ago. The difference is in the name ... their song used to be called 'I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend' !
Ooops! Avril isn't the only being sued ... but the co-writer of the song, Dr. Luke, and the company Avril Lavigne Publishing too!
This is a big mess!

Canadian singer Avril Lavigne latest album 'The Best Damn Thing' has topped the music charts in the U.S. this week!
Not only did the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with a whopping sales number! But her single 'Girlfriend' jumped two places to No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart.
According to RCA Records, the album has sold more than 1.5 million copies internationally, and debuted at No. 1 in 11 countries including the U.K., Japan, Canada, Germany, and Italy!
Way to go Avril!
The girl deserves some respect ... she works hard & does her best to give something good to her fans ... Wish you more success Avril!

I like Avril Lavigne. I usually like her punk rock style. But this time she went off the rail! The combination is hideous! Sorry! But really it is!
I love the pink strands in her hair ... but that's a out it!
The pink dress is really ugly! Maybe if it were black it would leave a better impression on me ... but the pink & the tulle together are way off!
As for the dark red eye shadow ... maybe if it were with another outfit, it would look better ... but i hate it like that!

Avril Lavigne & rock-star husband Deryck Whibley have paid about $9.5 million for a mansion in the famous Bel-Air neighbourhood in Los Angeles.
This is no small mansion! It's a 3-storey house, with eight bedrooms & 10½ bathrooms! Do they really need that many bathrooms???
The house, which comes with an elevator, also has a sauna & garage that fits about 10 cars! Wow!
Avril, is getting ready for the release of her upcoming album 'The Best Damn Thing', which is scheduled for next week.
