Who hasn’t’ heard of Aishwarya Rai? Since she became a reigning Miss World in 1994, her beauty has been renowned in the various nooks and crannies of the world. She became even more popular when she joined Bollywood. So, what is she up to lately? Just last Friday at Taj Bengal she walked the ramp at the launch of the Longines new line of watches HydroConquest. Though she said she did not have much experience in walking down the ramp, she did justice to her role as the watch brand’s ambassador.

It's been a very long time since I've posted any news about Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai ... so, i searched the net for anything new about her and here's what i found,
Aishwarya Rai is supposed to be starring in a new Sci-Fi Bollywood movie entitled 'Robot' but it's been reported that she's turned down the role!
It seems the truth to this is that Ash hasn't yet made up her mind about taking or not taking the role offered to her in the movie.
what puts Ash in such a dilemma is that the movie is so huge that it's going to be shot over a period of two years! Wow! That's a long time!
Ash seems to think so too and is worried about giving so much time for one project!

As for her latest projects, she'll be appearing with her hubby Abhishek Bachchan in the Hindi movie Sarkar Raj.

Lucky Ash! She's the first Bollywood actress to have her was figure displayed at Madame Tussauds Museum in New York's Time Square. The figure has been borrowed by the Madame Tussauds from its sister museum in London.
Aishwarya's fans began flocking to the museum to witness the unveiling of the statue. It was packed!
As the statue, dressed in a red Sari, was unveiled ... a group of dancers, dressed in 'lahengas' and matching blouses, gave an entertaining performance.
That was an unexpected surprise for her fans.

Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai & handsom fiance Abhishek Bachchan have said their "I Do's" today. Thay are now Mr. & Mrs. Bachchan.
The ceremony was held today at one of the Bachchan family homes in Mumbai.
Family & close friends, of which were politicians & actors, were among the invited.
Aishwarya looked amazing in a special wedding outfit created by her long-time designer, Neeta Lulla, while her hubby wore an ensemble designed by famous designers Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla.
The couple aren't going on a honeymoon at the moment, so Bachchan can be close to his grandmother, who is ill and has been hospitalized for several months now.
Congratulations to both of them ... May their life together be filled with good luck & joy.

Aishwarya Rai & fiance Abhishek Bachchan are set to be wed in a ceremony at Bachchan's family home in Mumbai seven days from today.
It has been reported that the wedding invitations have been sent out ... it's not your usual simple invitation card; the card, embossed with two entwined A's comes with a box of chocolate meringues! Yummy! The card also contains a poem about new beginnings by Bachchan’s grandfather & famous poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan.

Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai is currently in London to promote her latest movie Provoked.
Rai plays Kiranjit Ahluwalia, the British Punjabi woman who killed her husband after suffering years of abuse, then was subsequently released from jail following a huge campaign.
Rai was at the London premier dressed in a beautiful red sari.
As for her other news, Rai is set to get married soon, around April 20th, to her fiance Abhishek Bachchan. The wedding ceremony is going to be a small one for family & close friends only.

India has a strict law against obscenity in Bollywood movies & it seems a little on-screen kiss between Aishwarya Rai & co-star Hrithik Roshan in the movie Dhoom 2 is going to make a big problem!
A local lawyer, Shailendra Dwivedi, who filed the complaint over the movie & the kiss said: "My conscience made me file this case. The movie cannot be watched by Indian families as it depicts vulgarity."
