On Wednesday, Winona Ryder arrived at Heathrow airport only to be whisked away to the hospital!
Winona got really sick during her flight from L.A. to London and the reason is popping too many Xanax pills! If you're wondering, she's afraid of flying and took the pills to fight anxiety!
Oh Winona! But we all know you shouldn't just take Xanax like it was M&M's!
Just as the plain landed, Winona was rushed to the nearest hospital as a precautionary measure. She was discharged an hour later and was in good health.
After gathering her strength, Winona continued her trip and took another flight to another European city.

This is truly the festival season!
The much acclaimed Berlin International Film Festival is only a couple of months away and planning for it is underway!
Yesterday it was announced that actress Tilda Swinton is going to head the jury panel at the festival which starts on February 5th.
The director of the festival said in a statement: "I'm pleased that the wonderful Tilda Swinton will be our Jury President in 2009. Her commanding screen presence has made an indelible impression in contemporary, innovative film-making".
Tilda is really an exceptional actress and she's won numerous awards and is an active actress in even European movies.
The most recent award she won was at the 2008 Oscars for Best Supporting Actress, for her role in Michael Clayton alongside George Clooney.

South African-born actress Charlize Theron was named a United Nations peace messenger on Friday.
U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said of Charlize: "You have used your voice, compassion and special relationship with the public to create a better world".
Her message of peace circulates around ending violence against women. She has even played important roles in movies that shed light on such cases, like her role in the 2003 movie "Monster," in which she played serial killer Aileen Wuornos, who suffered from violence and abuse and was executed in Florida in 2002.
She also played a woman who fights back against sexual harassment in the 2005 movie "North Country".

Kate Winslet, who likes being under the radar, graces the cover of the December issue of Vanity Fair. The issue hits newsstands on November 11th.

The latest Bond girl Gemma Arterton has become transformed into a sticky, spill-y black oil spill in one of the scenes of the latest James Bond movie 'Quantum of Solace'.
Although the scene is quite still, Gemma revealed it wasn't easy, she said: "I couldn’t move. I couldn’t see, I couldn’t breathe or hear because it went in my ears. It was unpleasant, but it’s something I’ll always remember and it will be an iconic part of the film."
The thing is, i wonder what happened and how this Bond girl ended up as a lifeless body drenched in crude oil and left to drip all over the place!?

Poor Heather Locklear! She's suffering and it's starting to show!
She sought help for depression a couple of months ago and she's currently under medication.
A sad thing happened to Heather yesterday, she got arrested after she was spotted driving erratically in Santa Monica, California.
A witness called the police after spotting a car driving in a strange way in a parking lot.
When the police arrived, it turned out it was Locklear and it was evident that she was under the influence of something, but it doesn't seem like alcohol! Most probably she was under heavy medication and managed to get her hands on the steering wheel. She drove while being totally dazed! Poor thing!

Hilary Swank is feeling a bit under the weather these days! No, she doesn't have a cold, but she did undergo a quick medical procedure and was in the hospital recuperating.
Don't worry! It ain't something that serious! But she went for a check-up and had to undergo a minor procedure to remove a benign growth!
Her manager released a statement saying: "Hilary was experiencing some discomfort and went to see her doctor, who prescribed an immediate course of action that included a brief hospitalization to remove a small, benign growth."
She's fine now, at home resting and has no more health issues to worry about!

Last week i wrote about an Iranian actress that was reported to have been banned from leaving the country after she starred with Leonardo DiCaprio in his latest movie 'Body of Lies'.

Golshifteh Farahani has left to the US and she went there for a personal visit.
According to a casting director who has worked with Golshifteh Farahani on numerous projects: "These are all rumors and her trip proves these rumors wrong".

Even at 43 Brooke Shields still look good. See the evidence in the latest edition of Shape magazine. The front cover features Brooke in a white bikini. The magazine certainly picked a winner when they chose Brooke for the special October issue. But take note, the 'Suddenly Susan' actress admitted that she didn’t feel too confident about wearing the bikini because of some itty bitty weight gain, since she hasn’t been able to work out due to the foot surgery she had back in April. She had been enduring the pain of this tendon injury that she got from years of wearing heels and dancing.

After all those years and one previous break up, Michael Bolton and Nicolette Sheridan have ended their engagement and are -again- going their separate ways!
Sheridan's rep released a statement saying: "Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton have amicably ended their engagement. They appreciate your respect for their privacy in this matter."
What a pity! I really thought they made a great couple. They seemed so compatible.
Those two started dating way back in 1992, broke up and then in 2005 got back together.
In 2006 they announced that they've gotten engaged to be married. That's not going to happen!
Well, who knows, maybe they'll get back together in a year or two!

Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet reunite again on screen in the 1950's drama Revolutionary Road.
Leo and Kate heat up the screen as a married couple trying to solve their personal problems and raise two kids at the same time.
The movie is based on a novel by American novelist Richard Yates.
On another level, Kate revealed that she felt awkward during filming a sex scene with Leo in the movie, especially that her husband Sam Mendes was directing!
She said: "I just kept saying, 'This is too... weird.' And Leo was like, 'Oh, get over it.' And I'm going, 'Yeah, a little reminder: You're my best friend. He's my husband. This is a bit weird."
If you liked them as a couple in Titanic, then you're gonna sure love this movie!

Christina Applegate, who got diagnosed with early stages of breast cancer, has undergone a double mastectomy and is now 100% cancer free!
It's amazing that she decided to have both her breasts removed, because the cancer was only detected in one, but she didn't want to take any chances!
As for how she feels now after the procedure, Christina says: "Sometimes I cry. Sometimes I scream, and I get really angry and I get really into wallowing in self-pity sometimes, and I think it’s all part of healing."
She went under the knife immediately after being diagnosed and she did not undergo radiation or chemotherapy.
In eight months time, Christina will have reconstructive surgery and will get cute boobs that won't droop down when she's 90!

She takes this position after Karima Adebibe, who has been Lara since 2006.
Alison is a 23-year-old British gymnast and has the body and flexibility to do all the moves of the tough yet sexy archaeologist!
This new job will sure be lots of fun for Alison! Although she's got 12 years of gymnastics training and numerous honors representing Great Britain, she was just your usual receptionist! Now, she'll be traveling the world promoting the latest Tomb Raider game, Underworld.
But she's still got lots of work to do, her gymnastics won't suffice! she's currently undergoing a training regime that includes weapons classes in Eastern Europe, survival technique instruction from British SAS troops and a crash course in archeology!
FYI, Alison is now Lara Croft no. 11!
