American Idol judge Paula Abdul will remain with the hit Fox TV series after an investigation found no proof that she had an affair with a former contestant Corey Clark or helped him on the talent show, the network said Friday.

Lawyers who investigated claims by unsuccessful contestant Corey Clark of a sexual relationship with Abdul could not substantiate his allegations, Fox said.

Paula Abdul, therefore, can continue as a judge on American Idol, the network and series producers said in a statement.

Canadian-born anchorman Peter Jennings, host of ABC's "World News Tonight" died on Sunday, five months after he announced that he had been diagnosed with lung cancer.
He died at his home with his family around him, he was 67.
Jennings had a 41-year career with ABC, and established the first American television news bureau in the Arab world in 1968 when he served as ABC News' bureau chief for Beirut, a position he held for seven years.

Rapper 50 Cent and R&B singer Usher received the top honors at Billboard magazine's fifth annual R&B/Hip-Hop Awards ceremony, held yesterday in Atlanta.
The awards for top R&B/hip-hop album and top rap album went to 50 Cent's "The Massacre", while the award for top R&B/hip-hop artist went to Usher.
Billboard's awards are determined by sales and airplay data for weekly charts. Although 50 Cent won the album award, Usher won for a combination of album sales, singles sales and airplay.
Destiny's Child and Alicia Keys, were also winners at the ceremony.
