Despite controversies surrounding John Travolta, the contributions he has made in the entertainment industry cannot be doubted. The Karlovy Vary film festival recognizes his immense contributions and has honored him with a Crystal Globe lifetime achievement award!
John was presented with his award on Friday during the opening day of the film festival. During his acceptance speech, John expressed that being an actor is a very interesting journey because the job involves reflecting mankind and people may or may not agree or even like it. However, he said that he’s happy that the people allow him to be one.
The 59-year-old actor looked younger than his age in his carefully chosen dark suit with dark blue undershirt and tie. His slicked back hair and clean-shaven face, except for the carefully-trimmed goatee, removed the years from his face.
But John isn’t the only on to be given the Crystal Globe lifetime achievement award. Director Oliver Stone is also a recipient but he won’t be given his Crystal until July 6, the end of the festival.
