Rod Stewart’s Time Album was Inspired by His Past

Rod Stewart may be 68 years old but he isn’t going to stop making music any time soon! As a matter of fact, the “Hot Legs” singer has just released a new album entitled “Time.” If you are a Rod Stewart fan, know that “Time” is very different from his previous albums because he penned most of the songs in it! Most of the songs are inspired by his past. His autobiography “Rod” helped him reflect and thinking about his past has given him inspiration to write songs again.

He revealed that one song “Picture in a Frame” was inspired by the short breakup he and his wife Penny Lancaster had in the past. They broke up for two weeks and that time he asked her for her picture in a frame so that he would see her every time he goes to sleep and wakes up.

Obviously they were able to patch things up. But Rod had learned his lesson. That experience taught him how important it is to be a good person and a good listener to his partner. He also realized that women appreciate it when a man is truthful.

After two failed marriages, I applaud Rod for finally getting it right with Penny. At least he was able to learn from his experiences and now their relationship is just going from strength to strength. Their love was very evident when they appeared on Katie Couric’s show.
