Mila Kunis is the latest celebrity to be the subject of an anti-Semitic attack! What makes her case different is that the person who attacked her is a Ukrainian politician! It’s kind of weird that he would target the actress of all people.
In his post on Facebook, the politician used the word “zhydovka” to pertain to Mila. The politician named Igor Miroshnichenko said that the actress is just a “zhydovka” and not a true Ukrainian. It’s not a compliment because the term means “dirty Jewess” and has been used during the time of Adolf Hitler and the Holocaust.
Lots of Ukrainian Jews protested when they heard what the politician did. Sadly though, even the Ukrainian government sided with Miroshnichenko because according to them, the word does not merely mean anti-Semitism since it already has other meanings attached to it in the dictionary.
However, that did not stop two rabbis from the Simon Weisenthal Center in Los Angeles from writing a letter to the Ukrainian prime minister expressing their anger at the politician’s action and that he owes Mila a big apology.
My question is why would he target Mila of all people?
