Katie Holmes must be on cloud nine today. Her miniseries The Kennedys is set to be aired on an independent cable station, ReelzChannel, on April 3.
One of the reasons for Katie’s sad face a few weeks ago was the axed tv series in which she plays Jackie Kennedy. It was supposed to air on History Channel but executives declared it unfit for the channel. It was allegedly done due to pressure from the real Kennedys over its portrayal of one of America’s previously powerful families.
The controversial script was revised after it was described as “vindictive” and “malicious” by former Kennedy aide Theodore Sorensen.
But ReelzChannel CEO Stan Hubbard said, “One of the benefits of being an independent network is that you can be an independent voice and you don't have to worry about corporate pressure or political pressure - this is a project that deserves to be seen.”
What about you, will you watch it?
