Yup it’s true! Katy Perry will provide the voice of Smurfette in the new movie, “The Smurfs”. I think this movie is so cute! It will be an animated one that’s targeted for 2011 release.

Not much detail was given yet; but, we know the cast of this upcoming movie. Papa Smurf will be played by Jonathan Winters, Gutsy Smurf will be played by Alan Cumming, and actor Neil Patrick Harris will also participate in this movie.

I love the Smurfs they are adorable and Katy Perry is a very funny person. Didn’t you guys see her on American Idol? She was the funniest guest! We will give you more updates when more details are given regarding the movie.
