Although the King of Pop is no more, controversies still follow him. Michael Jackson may be resting in peace already however his family has no such peace. In fact, his father has started a new war. Joe Jackson filed a case against John McClain and attorney John Branca, the people whom Michael Jackson appointed as executors in his will. MJ signed the will in Los Angeles in 2002.
Katherine Jackson Has No Issues About MJ’s Will
In his suit, Joe Jackson alleges that the will is fake, and that MJ was out of the country the day the will was signed. However, McClain and Branca are unfazed, saying they have witnesses that can prove it was really MJ who signed the document. It’s important to note that Joe Jackson was excluded from MJ’s will.
MJ’s mother Katherine Jackson, on the other hand, is now standing by the appointment of the will. She publicly declared her support for McClain and Branca. Her lawyer Adam Streisand showed up in court on Tuesday who stressed that Katherine had no objections to the will.
Katherine was left 40 per cent of the net of MJ’s assets. She is the guardian of his three children – Prince Michael, Paris, and Prince Michael II.
