Michelle Monaghan. This name should sound familiar. This Iowa-born and bred lady has had a number of movies and commercials to her name. But before she got involved in showbiz, Michelle was a journalism student at Columbia College in Chicago with the goal of becoming an investigative reporter someday. During that time, she already started modeling in order to pay for her tuition fees. However, that career path was not to be. After 3 years in college, she quit and went to New York. It was there that she carved a place in the world of modeling.
She became a commercial model for the Secret deodorant. It wasn’t long before her career branched out into acting. She had some small roles in various TV series including Young Americans, Hack, and Law & Order. However, she gained the most recognition for her roles in the movies North Country with Charlize Theron, Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang where she starred with Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer, and Mission Impossible III with Tom Cruise.
