DJ AM was found dead in his New York apartment on Friday!
What irony! He beat death last year in a plane crash and has just slipped away now ...

According to sources who site NYPD, near his body there were empty bottles of prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia, including a crack pipe.
The details of his death are still unknown and everyone is extra surprised by the sad news.

According to PEOPLE, a police source said he had been found face down, shirtless and wearing pants. A crack pipe and prescription drugs were found.

It seems DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, hasn't really gotten over last year's plane crash and was devastated after a break up.
Although he was busy working between Las Vegas, Atlantic City and finally New York City, he kept to himself after breaking up with girlfriend model Hayley Wood.

The last thing DJ AM tweeted on his Twitter account was: "New york, new york. Big city of dreams, but everything in new york ain't always what it seems."
